There are tears streaming down my face. Hearing Setanta talk about getting our club back where it belongs just makes me so happy. We are blessed by these two brothers - it's a damn shame we couldn't have given Sean Og the chance ten years ago. |

SWMBO just told me I'm a big baby too! Brilliant stuff. If we ever had any doubts about the boys making it, they are blown away now. ![]() |

What a great way to spend an hour when you should be working... I can honestly say I've never wanted someone to succeed as much as I do Setanta. I know football's meant to be a business, and by definition playing football is his career... but his passion for what he's set out to achieve goes waaaaay beyond such tawdry definitions. Anyone who's ever dared to try and live out their dreams should follow Setanta's journey and cheer him on. Guys like Murph and Gibbs may be the blue-chip assets the club needs, but if this bloke gets to walk up to the podium on grand final day, I'll be reserving the biggest cheer of them all for him. A great bloke... grounded yet extremely passionate. And he loves his mum. As evidenced by this quote about his mum visiting him in Melbourne: "Now that my mum's here, it's like gold man... it's like winning the lottery". A lot like Carlton getting the O'hAilpin brothers, I reckon. |

I had the privelage of meeting Sean Og in Mexico last week. I was over for my wedding to my gorgeous American wife and ran into Sean Og who was over in Mexico with his Hurling Team. Such an awesome, down-to-earth guy. Seriously one of nicest, friendliest guys I've ever met. You can tell he is so proud of his little brothers and wants them to succeed. Shame we meet the O'Hailpins too late to pick up Sean Og also. He's a little shorter than his brother's but has the same perfect physique for footy as his brothers. The day he left the resort, he went out of his way to find my brother and myself to say good bye and leave me with these final words ... "up the blues!" I really hope the O'hAilpin's succeed with the blues, because there are few more deserving blokes/families out there. And I am pretty confident they will get there. As supporters we just need to be very patient and positive because they are still learning the game. |

I thoroughly enjoyed that, I particularly liked it when TD was giving him advice about marking, he's an astute listener. I believe Setanta improved with each game last season and I can't wait to for him to continue. Would be great to see Aisake get a game too, I don't really know much about him as a player yet. |

But I would have loved to see an update at the end of it with some footage against Sydney and Barry Hall. That would have shown the Irish how far they have come. That would have been the Creme de le creme... ![]() Love Setanta my favourite player.. not for his skills but because of the way he plays, his journey and his determination to succeed. Have followed him in the Bullants to the AFL. Looking forward to seeing much more of Aisake also this year!!! |

Is it just me or does the tempo of hurling seem very similar to AFL. I'm sure its very different but from what I've seen its very fast paced like our game. |
