Some have suggested this puff piece is a year too early, but the quality of those coming in v what we have removed (plus the benefit of actually moving ahead by removing the 'go-to's on the list - well, mostly) have me excited...

Consider:

Quote:
* Despite the large turnover in 2006, we only lost players who played 74 games in 2006 (15.3% of all games played). This is concentrated in French (20 games), McGrath (19 games) and Deluca (13 games);

* The players who have left contributed 16 of our 257 goals in 2006, approximately 6%; and

* These players earned 1 Brownlow Vote through French.

Yes, it's a bit puff-piecey, but you can't help but be excited about a new season. I can hear Yazz singing in the background....

Pretty good puff Mols. Although I have to correct you when you say Fev's 84 was the best for about 50 years - Jezza topped the ton in 1970.

I think the list of 40-30-20-10-Debut players had me the most anticipatory... :-D

Of course - was thinking about Tom Carroll's Coleman being about 50 years ago but the shorthand version is incorrect.

I could also just say 50 years was an exaggeration!

As for 40-30-20-10-Debut....it's pretty telling isn't it. 12 guys coming through that look pretty good. Check out the debutants for 2002 v 2005/2006 and there's a world of difference down at the Den.

Actually, it is pretty clear to me that the realisation came from the ether, and therefore must be true

Now don't go sniffing too much of that stuff Molsey...it'll mess with your mind

Obivously I'm the only true Yazz fan here.

We've been broken down
To the lowest turn
And been UNDER (on) the bottom line
Sure ain't no fun
But if we should be evicted from our GROUND (homes)
We'll just move somewhere else
And still carry on
Hold on, hold on, hold on

The only way is up, baby
For MURPH AND SIMMO (you and me now, baby)
The only way is up
For GIBBS and ANDO )you and me now)

Now we may not know
Where our next meal is coming from
But with you by my side
I'll face what is to come

BLUES (Boy), I wanna thank you
For loving me this way
Things may be a little hard now
But we'll find a brighter day
Hold on, hold on, hold on

The only way is up, baby
For LEE AND SMORGO (you and me now)
