I would have picked Kade Simpson ahead of Glen Bowyer.

Kade is never given a proper go and what better chance than this week? That's nothing personal against Bowyer, but I think Kade will be a bigger part of our future than Glen will be.

Until we get some defenders back we're going to struggle no matter who we're playing.

Having defenders out means we need to kick high scores to win games and even in the last two weeks, 108 wasn't enough and 110 was only just sufficient against an Essendon* side without Lloyd. Granted, both sides were helped by at times extraordinary accuracy in front of goals but the fact is to win games at the moment it has to be a shootout.

When you think that Port can play Tredrea, Primus and Lade in one forward line against a Carlton side minus Thornton and Livo, it's pretty frightening really. We'll try hard no doubt but we simply can't physically cover this. Kouta isn't the answer down back, can't see him going with Tredrea and we need to win the clearances and get it down to Fev and Lance to somehow manufacture a miracle.

i agree simmo is a much better footballer than bowyer will ever be .. but i think the ingredient glenn brings is attack on the footy . .

jeez we could have done with someone last week who was prepared to say "stuff this rot" and just turn the ball around thru sheer desire to get the ball going our way ..

its no secret that effort is contagious .. if you see your team mate willing to have a go then when its your turn you'll do the same .. i didnt see anyone really willing to stand up and stop the pies .. apart from stevo and full credit to him..

hopefully we see a bit more sheer desperation for the 4 points this week ..

.. go blues ..

I reckon Carazzo will play in the middle. Bowyer in a back pocket and Longmuir will play a half or less....
