The Fev stands out of course ATM....especially from a long way out; he's still not a certainty close in; but he's a magnificent kick for goal.

I'll never forget Bryan Quirk; No.32 on the wing for us. It didn't matter how far out it was; he would unleash a perfect torpedo for a goal....it was poetry in motion....you could put your house on him kicking it.

How about Warren Ralph? Could he kick it a mile or what? Yet....not reliable close in.

Has there ever been a more classical Half Forward Flanker than Wayne Johnston? Or a better running torpedo goal kicker in the history of the game? Never....could'nt be.

John Nicholls was a great shot for goal ; and never missed the ones that counted. He kicked a flat punt; like Peter Hudson....very effective 'tho. I recall Big Nick kicking a massive torpedo goal for us at PP to win a game for us, and I remember saying to my Dad that I had never seen him kick a torp before. My Dad wisely said "He wouldn't have made the distance...it had to be a torpedo, and he had the ability to produce one when it mattered"

Greg Kennedy was a great shot for goal; I recall watching him kick 12 goals for us against Hawthorn. Ross Ditchburn also kicked 12 for us ; I think against the Saints at Waverley. A little bloke called Brian Walsh from Bendigo way was a great goalsneak for us too kicking 7 for us at least once.

Strangely enough, Geoff Southby always fancied himself as a forward, and at one stage threatened to leave if we didn't play him up forward....which we did...it was an abject failure as Geoff ; who was a magnificent drop and punt kick, could not kick a goal to save his life....he had no idea. He got it out of his system; we regained our Champion Full Back; and we all smiled again......

I reckon Kouta has always been reliable in front of goal. Hickmott too.

I reckon Lappin has dobbed his fair share of clutch goals in his time... though I have always been of the opinion that he is better at snapping them, than set shots... You could always count on Greg Williams to kick 2 or 3 in more matches than not - a rover AND a goal sneak... cram that up your cramhole Milne! ...and my nomination for worst kick for goal in our side - especially important goals... Jon Dorevitch.

Yes; Skinny was always a good snap for goal; and Diesel was just the perfectionist in everything he did. Brad Pearce was a very reliable kick for goal....that stellar year in '95. Braddles didn't miss many either....another perfectionist. Rod Ashman is another one....we've been lucky.

Kennedy in the 70s.I reckon Bradley would go close. From 45 with a set shot you be marking it down in the lefthand column of the record before he kicked it. Lets hope he is teaching Waite and Fisher the fine pointers of kicking set sausage rolls.

Braddles from within 40 on a set shot or from within 50 on the run. I haven't seen many more reliable shots at goal.

Matt Clape and Fev. Though correct me if my stats are wrong, but Bryce Gibbs has never missed a goal in AFL footy yet has he? Must be a super accurate kick.

Ross Ditchburn....easily the best I have seen...from close in or a long way out he could kick them. Warren Ralph had the most classical action...Greg Kennedy was another who had a very nice style.... Jezza didnt miss many either, maybe didnt have the long distance accuracy that the others had. Fev is great but can have the yips and miss some easy ones....

I was going to say Campo on the run was usually pretty reliable kick at goal. SOS was a nice kick when thrown forward and we needed the goals.

Okay... The ball's been marked 45 metres out. The terrorists have me tied up and have their AK47s trained at my head. My life is forfeit unless the goal umpire sticks up two fingers. But am I worried? Of course not. The man who's got the ball is Mark Maclure. Phew, that was a close one!

I don't think there has been a less accurate kick at the club considering the amount of shots he had.

Fev is the best I have ever seen. No one comes close Allan, Campo and Hickmott were also very accurate.
