Might have to wait a while for it but i think this will be our best team this year.

B: Sporn Livingston Teague

HB: Lappin Thornton Houlihan

C: Walker Stevens Chambers

HF: Davies Whitnall Waite

F: Betts Fevola Fisher

Ruck: French, Kouta, Campo

Inter From: Norman, Scotland, Prendergast, Deluca, Simpson, Mcgrath, Morell

We need Lapping and Houla starting the attacks from the backline. Thornton has all the poise in the world and will create havoc from CHB, especially if Livo can finally have some luck with injuries and show us whether he can hold down Full Back or not.

The centre line is fast and skillfull. I'd keep Walker on a wing all season and let him learn the game from there. Stevens is Stevens and hopefully Chambers can continue where he left off in the Wizard Cup and be our goal kicking wingman.

With the ball comming in quick our forward line could be awesome, especially with the Fish comming back in as the third tall. I think Betts will be able to keep his spot for the season barring injuries and that should mean between 30 and 40 goals which would be a great effort for an 18 year old. I think Lance and Fev will be able to crack the 50 goal mark each this season as long as we can give them decent supply and we can overcome the double teaming they are copping at the moment. Waite and Davies are also capable of kicking 30+ goals - as long as they can start kicking straight.

I've been a critic of French but I am glad he is proving me wrong. Kouta will continue to be the clearance king and Campo will continue to please some and frustrate others.

From the bench I'd have Scotland and Norman in and you could take your pick from the rest depending on the opponent. At some point I'd like to see Russell and Blackwell get a run in the seniors. I aint seen Russell play but from what I have seen of Blackwell he will be one to watch in the future.

We are slighlty depleted at the moment with injuries and suspensions but the grass will get greener as the season wears on. I got a feeling we will get a decent run on if we can field the above team. I've also got a feeling we will win one of our two interstate games.

Your thoughts?

Appologies if I've missed any obvious players but it's 4.30am, I'm at work, I'm bored and I'm tired.

You asked for our thoughts bax....don't take mine the wrong way; but....

I hate seeing the word "paddock" creeping into our footy vernacular....it's a Sydney/Brisbane Rugby League/Union expression that sounds out of place when talking about our manicured lush green ovals of today.

It's similar to the other term being used by people like Dermott Brereton.... "unit"...."he's a big unit"....what crap!....they're called PLAYERS.

Lastly....it staggers me how many posters post from work....

How do you get away with it?....and why are you bored?....amazing!
