Yes please, one more PP and we will be set up.

Bottom out. Do it properly.

It's probably not far off unfortunately. Who really would we have overtaken since R22 to fend off 16th possie? We are better, no doubt, but so are 15 other teams... except Essendon*. Hope they are nailed with their continued patching!

As much as I've been on the tanking bandwagon the past 2 years, I'd hate for us to end up with a hat-trick of spoons!!!

Hope we can get the PP without finishing on the bottom.

Right now our off field performances are lagging behind our onfield projections of coming last next year... the wooden spoon is no big deal where we are right now....

Another wooden spoon would see Smorgons plan unravel very quickly in 2008, if he is still around

Finishing up spooners again in 07 means a bad start, middle and end to the season - which probably would help in regard to those fence-sitting on whether to get a membership or not post Round 1...

As for spooners, I severely doubt it... I can see any one of Essendon*, Richmond, Hawthorn, Kangaroos or Collingwood having terrible seasons and finishing below us... in the cases of Richmond, Hawthorn and Collingwood I think a luck played a part in them winning as many matches as they did...

What has been on my mind is how much of an impact Lloyd will have on Essendon*'s position...

Yes. It was luck and luck alone that saw Collingwood be the most prolific scoring team in the comp for most of the season including at least 7 games whereby we scored more than 20 goals.

As long as you believe it, I guess that's all that matters.

Five of those 7 games where against the bottom eight sides and nearly all of your big scores were kicked against teams who weren't in the eight. You've traded away Tarrant and lost Didak for at least the first half of the season so your ability to win matches will be tested more than ever next year.

Unless you count Medhurst as a player.

i highly, highly doubt we'll finish last. and it isnt just biased optimism that fuels that.

pagan is gone. we'll get a more progressive coach who'll support all the young guys and properly nurture them by....(silence)....playing them!

kangaroos, brisbane and Essendon* will give us a run for our money. i think people underestimate just how bad brisbane will be.

Yep.

Brisbane are actually at each other throats more than Carlton. Alot of what goes on might go unreported because they're not based in a football state with the media questioning their every move.

Matthews probably has most of them running scared like Woosha in Perth. 8)

Thank god for Aker.

The Lions will be under a lot of pressure to perform next year after posting a huge loss this year and the Roos considering moving North. If Voss gets Laidley's job as coach of the Gold Coast based Roos which was muted by Wilson on 3AW last night and they keep losing heads may roll.

Lose Brown and they're shot.

Bombers will move out of the bottom four if Lloyd, Fletcher, Lucas, Hird and Michael can stand up but they won't stop the crash that is coming in three years.

Roos or Lions for the spoon as long as we finish above them on 4 and a half wins to get picks one and three.
