thats a shame to hear for them. but much like us, this gives the chance for some kid to step up.

i reckon eckerman will be in to add some speed to their midfield.

Troy Chaplin I reckon - he's shown some good signs, will be a good player for Port.

James no certainty for Carlton clash

Midfielder Roger James has joined Chad Cornes, Jacob Surjan and Toby Thurstans in the battle for fitness for Saturday night’s clash with Carlton at AAMI Stadium.

Taking it easy as they see this as a game in the bag....
C'mon Bluebaggers give em the fright of their life and start their cementing in the bottom eight after Adelaide sent them there

If that's true, gez, this is good news, James has slaughtered us the last few times we've played them.....

Collingwood were missing a few stars as well and it didn't help that much.

I always get scared going into a match with the opposing club losing quality players - Qualifying Final 1994 versus Geelong refers.

thats bad luck for chad .. but we know how they feel :)

to have a chance we must go hard right from the start .. cant let them get 5 goals up in the first, like they usually do ..

if we are still with them at qtr time, its GAME ON !!

we have one less tall to worry about, they will have another inexperienced player in their side ..
these are all helping give the blues a glimpse of a chance ..

to down the reigning premiers at home .. with our backs to wall .. "i'd like to see that" !!

stranger things have happened

.. go blues ..

Reckon they might drop Damon White down back at CHB.
Having James helps a lot.
But it is evened out with Burgoynes inclusion.

We are going to miss Scotland and Campo more than some people think I reckon.

possibly .. but walker and chambers are fairly good replacements (if they play) .. hopefully should be able to match the output of campo and scotland (which has been a bit sporadic in the last few weeks)

easy to replace than the talls we're missing down back is what i mean i guess

anyhoo .. i just want to see some desperation .. some will to win the footy, some fierce tackling .. some straight kicking ..

is that too much to ask ? i dont think so

.. go blues ..

Walker will come back in for sure.
I honestly don't reckon Scotland is going to get off.
But I'm more than happy to be proven wrong.

Jaws isn't a certainty yet.

If Jaws didn't come up, one of Simmo/T-Lo/Clarke would come in to add a bit more pace to the side.

Can you use it in a sentence?

Pettigrew looks alright for them too. And what's the deal with Bishop? Injured?

Walker and Chambers will be handy inclusions but neither are ball winners.
Scotland wins the contested ball quite well and links up our play.
Walker and Chambers need to show they are better than 12-15 possession players.

I know Walker is young and he got 26 possessions in his first game etc etc but he needs to get involved more this year.
Our midfield rotation is very thin this year and will get much thinner without Campo and Scoots.

I'd play Carrazzo in the middle.
I know he is very good down back but if we dont win our share of ball in the middle this week, we are cactus.

If Port played with their Reserve Side, we would still be very Lucky if we came close within 40 Points...

We keep denying the fact that we Lack the Depth and the miserable disapointing insistance of our middle players to put their hands up when it matters.....

We lost Compreala and Scotland, thats Game Over.... cuase once u take 2 senior players out, the middle core players will just look like Idiots...unless Kouta and Stevens try to Lift them, and only then that they come to their senses and play to their Abiulity..

The Frustrating thing is all of these gyus have the ability to Step up and do something special, BUT they just refuse to do it, unless the Big guns Fire and we get into a comfortable lead :(

Its time for the likes of Davies, De Luca, Jonhson, Mcgrath, Wiggins, Sporn, Walker, Norman, Morell & co to Stand up and count when it matters

well dodo, maybe they will.

this is their big chance. without these other guys to rely on, they may get in there and have a bit more of a go.

Watching last years game now

Someone we need to target is Peter Burgoyne. Nothing illegal, but we need to continually scrag him, block his run; get him as frustrated as possible. He is the type of player who is very damaging and after watching him diving in last years game, someone needs to be assigned to keep the ***** quiet

The replay has got me fired up! We must not let them push us around! :x
