What a JOKE!! The WOOF is ours, and not for sale. They can have the dud, but the WOOF has, and always will remain the property of the Carlton Supporters.

The last thing we needed is a trouble maker like bryan. If we didn't want aka in our team not only because he dosnt fit our youth policy but also because he is a trouble maker, then why keep bryan? Their in the same boat, but the dissapointing thing about losing him is that he was one fine player for the bullants.

[/url]

Quote:
Bryan, 24, returned for 2006 pre-season training unfit and subsequently played only five games for the season.

"Being a bit naive, I didn't know the expectations of what needed to be at AFL level being my first pre-season," he said. "So I know now and I won't do it again."

Bryan said although he had worked hard to regain his fitness, he had not been able to break into the Blues line-up until late in the season and managed only five games to add to the 11 of his promising debut year.

Collingwood Chief of Football Geoff Walsh said the club admired Bryan's unique style.

"He does relish the contest, he's a bit of the old-style crash and bash type ruckman and doesn't mind the physical contact," he said.

"Chris provides an option in the ruck, but he can also be a handy player who can go forward for a time or play back behind the footy and he kicks the ball well which means he also becomes a bit of an option when you try to set up play."

They're kidding aren't they. Have they seen him play? He mistimes his jump too often to crach and bash, and I've seen no eveidence he relishes contact. And as for him as key position player. Cloke may not be great but I think we won out of this.

I for one would very seriously contemplate him in our best 22 if still at the club. All about him getting his head right of course, but in terms of being AFL-ready there is only Ackland and McLaren and with McLaren's baack there is real doubt about him for the start of the season at any rate.

I'm sorry, but IMO a head [REDACTED] Bryan with 2 dozen deep fried dim sims in his diet is still better value than a cloke.
I hope I'm proved wrong!!

I think Cloke is slightly better than Bryan. If Cloke's here cheaper then we got the better of that deal.

I think Cloke has a 5% chance of being a good senior player, and Bryan 1%.

Cloke for Bryan is really a 0-0 snorefest with Cloke the greater share of possession.. slightly

But is Cloke drafted to be a ruckman, or are we going to play him as a bits and pieces player who slips into say half back or half forward at the expense of another up and coming player if the ruck option doesn't work?
