All confirmed -
4 Gibbs
11 Ackland
16 Grigg
20 Benjamin
21 Austin
22 Hampson
26 Anderson

Me thinks that #7 is being held for next year's first round draft pick - given that numbers 1-5 have all been assigned to top 10 draft picks.

Tomi Johnston was training with the group today so he might still be a rough chance for his dad's old number.

That's not entirely true.

I was listening to Brian Waldron on KB's SEN show this morning, when a listener compared the Mal Michael debacle with Hamill leaving Carlton.

Waldron; who was CEO of St.Kilda at the time, corrected the caller, saying that Hamill refused to desert Carlton without Carlton at least getting a decent draft pick in exchange for him.

St.Kilda gave Carlton Pick 4 in the Draft; which we unfortunately.....(In hindsight) wasted by picking Luke Livingston.

Yes it was a grand gesture by Aaron.

Most of us are aware of that and still think he's a money grubbing flower.
He shat upon number 4. The end.

I have some comments about Hamill but I'm afraid I might get reported for personal abuse and banned.

Who in a famous interview he gave to "Inside Carlton" stated -

"I'm working very hard on my pace, strength and skills."

No problem Sammy you get those three things covered and you will sure lick this AFL caper.

Geez, from a distance that Anderson looks like the next incarnation of the Dog!!! That curly hair and all, I hope his playing style matches the image!

"And there was a bonus in picking up Austin in that he has that long-term relationship with the number one pick, they're good mates and coming across together makes it a little bit easier for both of them. There's some talk that he might have been a steal at where he was."

"No, I wouldn’t have thought so, I thought most clubs would have had him around that mark."

Isnt it refreshing to hear a recruiter telling it like it is?
No doubt Sheedy or Pelchen would have said "Yeah, we rated him top 10 and were amazed he slipped to 35"
