I believe the match review panel meets at 10am it is now 3.20pm and no news, how long does it take to get out the results and penalties offered. |

Campo will be cited for striking (one week if he accepts ban, two week if he contests and loses) Scotland goes straight to the Tribunal for Miscounduct (uneccessary contact to face of Lockyer). |

Gee if heath goes that is not good, not good at all. He is not that type of player at all, must have been a rush of blood, but the team will obviously suffer if two of our premier midfielders are out, lets hope the youngens can step up. |

haven't seen the incident, but seems totally out of character for heath! just seems one of those "brain explosion" games we have from time to time .... we lose the game, the fight AND get players cited!! all this supposed competition for spots has made the side less disciplined and less intense

Charges Laid: Brent Moloney, Melbourne, can accept a two-game suspension for engaging in rough conduct against Jimmy Bartel, Geelong, during the first quarter of the Round Three match between Melbourne and Geelong, played at the MCG on Friday April 8, 2005. The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), medium impact (two points), in play (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, which relates to a Level Two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match suspension. He has one previous two-game suspension which increases his penalty by 20 per cent to 270 points. An early plea would reduce the penalty by 25 per cent to 202.50 points and a two-game suspension. Brad Miller, Melbourne, can accept a reprimand with no suspension and 94.75 points towards his future record for engaging in rough conduct against Brad Ottens, Geelong, during the second quarter of the Round Three match between Melbourne and Geelong, played at the MCG on Friday April 8, 2005. The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point), in play (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of five activation points, which is a Level One offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-game suspension. An early plea would reduce the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand with no suspension and 94.75 points to his future record. Scott Camporeale, Carlton, can accept a one-game suspension for striking Brodie Holland during the first quarter of the Round Three match between Carlton and Collingwood, played at the MCG on Saturday April 9, 2005. The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point), in play (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of five activation points, which is a Level One offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-game suspension. He has one previous one-game suspension which increases his penalty by 10 per cent to 137.50 points. He has 68.75 residual points from an earlier offence within the last 12 months which increases his penalty to 206.25 points and a two-game suspension. An early plea would reduce the penalty by 25 per cent to 154.69 points and a one-game suspension. Heath Scotland, Carlton, has been referred directly to the Tribunal for misconduct in that he made unnecassary and unreasonable contact to the face of Tarkyn Lockyer during the second quarter of the Round Three match between Carlton and Collingwood, played at the MCG on Saturday April 9, 2005. The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point), in play (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of seven activation points, which is a Level Three offence. As a misconduct charge, it is therefore referred directly to the Tribunal. Daniel Kerr, West Coast , can accept a $900 fine for wrestling Des Headland, Fremantle, during the second quarter of the Round Three match between West Coast and Fremantle, played at Subiaco on Saturday April 9, 2005. A first offence for wrestling is $1200 but an early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to $900. Other Incidents Assessed -- No Charge Laid: The report laid on the day against Port Adelaide's Darryl Wakelin was reviewed. The panel felt that Wakelin was off balance he collided with Goodwin, due to being pushed, and therefore the contact was accidental and unavoidable. No further action was required. Contact between Carlton's Brendan Fevola and Collingwood's Brodie Holland from the third quarter of Saturday's match was reviewed. The panel said contact was deemed to be a pushing action and was minimal and to the shoulder of Holland. No further action was required. Contact between Sydney's Jared Crouch and the Brisbane Lions' Jason Akermanis from the second quarter of Saturday's match was reviewed. Crouch bumped Akermanis off the ball and a free kick was paid. No further action was required. Contact between Sydney's Adam Goodes and the Brisbane Lions' Jason Akermanis from the third quarter of Saturday's match was reviewed. The panel saw the contact as an attempted tackle and no further action was required. Contact between Essendon*'s Matthew Lloyd and Hawthorn's Josh Thurgood from the first quarter of Sunday's match was reviewed. The panel said the contact was accidental and no further action was required. For charges laid by the Match Review Panel, clubs and players have until 10am tomorrow, Tuesday April 12, to decide whether to accept the penalty allocated, or to contest the case. |

And what about Rhys Shaw's gouge on Lappin? If Scotto's going to go based on footage, shouldn't he at least be looked at? And for what it's worth, I think Campo should contest, and go for 2, he needs the break to take a bloody good hard look at himself and his antics in the first 3 rounds compared to the WC. |

Scotland has been disappointing the last couple of weeks anyway. Time for Bentick to come in - his disposal is just as good, he's harder at the ball and more prepared to man up when on the defensive. Bring Adam in! Simpson for Camporeale - it's not like we have a glut of left footed midfielders with skills on both sides of the body like Simmo has. |
