This poll doesn't have:

1) the 1987 grand final - instead's Stick's after siren goal in round 22.

2) it doesn't have the 1981 grand final - led by the icon Bruce Doull

3) Carlton wearing their proper guernsey up to 1997 and then in round 7, 2014.

It has the '79 Tap. But it undeniably shits in the face of the tap, by nominating the 2007 trade of Chris Judd to Carlton as a 'moment' ...

Yes, the human salary cap has helped us to no end with his massive demands, chicken wings, wonky hammys and one way running.

Yeah, I am voting for that tap in from Harmesy obviously, as it is not only the best moment in Carlton's history but the best moment in Australian football's history (without a doubt).. Has everything one would hope to see- courage, speed, skill, team ethic etc.

but 2nd on my list would have been seeing the proper Carlton guernsey again. It has been over 15 years of being annoyed watching that imitation guernsey. At least I can say I have seen one match (other than the heritage one at Princes Park) where the real Carlton guersney was being used. Two more matches to enjoy vs Hawthorn and Essendon* and then back to 1998-2013 model I guess.

Nothing in the past 12 years that's for sure.

What about when we recruited Troy Longmuir ?
So happy, we gave him Bradles' number 21!!

He nearly matched his output, finishing a mere 360-odd games shy of Braddles

Just badly done on. Firstly it states 'What is Carlton Football Club's Greatest Moment of all time'...ok - I can handle that...Then it says as a subtitle -

'Vote for your favourite Carlton moment'

Well which is it that you want me to do? Bosustow's mark and goal of the year sits well with me as I remember them so fondly as a kid - but it's nowhere near the club's greatest moment of all time! Make up your minds!!

The club's greatest moment is its agreement with Melbourne City Council to play its games at what was then Princes Oval in 1878. Bit boring I know - but earlier that year Melbourne University's Roman Catholic collegiate had refused Carlton the use of the Madeline Street ground yet allowed Hotham FC (later to become North Melbourne) and the sport of hurling to played there. Without a home - we would have been [REDACTED]. The move to Princes Park would enable us to form a relationship with Melbourne City Council and the Carlton Cricket Club whereby we found our current home in 1897.

Anyhow - can't vote on that...so let's go the 1987 flag...wha? Shit...ok....let's vote for playing during the war years...nup...the 1907 flag where the umpire was the former Collingwood captain from their flags in 1902-03? Nope...ok...I'll vote for the first Grand Final victory I can remember...the 1979 flag...wait...wtf? ok....how 'bout the night in Festival Hall when...oh.....ah forget it...just vote for Jezza's mark and get it over and done with...

Great moments of the CFC since 2002.....

#1 - The moment the marketing dept decided to go with 'Can you smell what the Blues are cooking' campaign.

Brilliant stuff!!

I am deeply confused about how Big Nick holding the ball up at Prince's Park can count as something anyone remembers fondly.
Not only did we abandon our spiritual home for good because of short-sighted thinking we didn't even win the last @#$%&! game there.

The players gathering at a restaurant and forcing Lou Richards to "eat the biggest bucket of spaghetti on Lygon St" after Lou claimed Carlton were no chance to beat Collingwod. Some time in 81-83, because Bosustow made sure Richards wore most of what he couldn't eat.

Otherwise, the win against Essendon* in 2004(?) when we were undermanned and no chance in the wet. Matty Lappin chiming in with some beauties, including the "hiding behind the behind post" mark
