sorry frank, But thought I would start things off. Only twice last year did we kick over 100 points in a row, (Rounds 2 and 3 and round 12 and 13). Done it already this year. ... more to come. |

Haven't seen the game yet, but sounds like Waite and De Luca continue to show promise in the forward line. Sounds like big Barnaby again dominated in the ruck. |

Just watching the replay - Big Archie is one very big positive within the gloom! |

Stevens played his best game for the year. Carazzo continued to show good signs. French keeps playing well and is continuing to be a good contributor to our team's performance. DeLuca played one of his best games for the club, and with such a focus on Lance and Fev he proves the theory we need another tall option in our F50. Lappin continues to play good football week in week out. Karl was beaten today, but he still showed that with Thornton and Livo in the team his running and kicking from defence will be valuable for us. Eddie Betts should be the role model for all our players. In the first quarter he was not only our best forward option, but also our hardest worker in attack. His tenacity and failure to give up a contest is absolutely amazing for a bloke in just his third game of football. Reports from the TV suggested he may have a hamstring niggle. Jarrad Waite continues to show the good things he can add to our team. His height, pace and skills will be great for us in years to come. There's still 19 regular season games left. Thornton, Livingston, Chambers and Fisher are all in our best 22 and will be good for us when they get back in the team. |

POsitives for mine: Stevens, DeLuca, Eddie, Lappin, Barney. the fact that we were 4 goals up with little to no contribution from Lance and Fev. that's about it.... |

Thornton, Livingston, Chambers and Fisher are all in our best 22 and will be good for us when they get back in the team. In Simpson, Chambers,Walker and Longmuir.Maybe even Russell if he plays well in the twos. Out Johnson(Luke Blackwell thanks),Wiggins,Sporn ![]() The positives were Archie, Betts, Waite's four quarters and Stevens(did he get a rest?). |

jacksboy you've got to include waite in your list of impressive youngsters / players today strong - "panther like" (i'll be calling him "Panther" from now on) but i'll acknowledge that he may be a bit inexperienced yet but imagine when carazzo, waite, deluca etc. all have 50 games under their belt - deluca's closest to 50 if i remember rightly and look at the progress he's making alot of good out out today except i'm really p...sed at Fev - got to get his head right but at least he's not causing us off field grief Rich |

Deluca was good Barney is quite possibly the AA ruckman at the moment ![]() Karl did Ok at times Carrazzo again looked pretty decent - I must be missing a lot of his stuff ups, he always looks good with it to me Stevens did what we pay him for Hoops and Skinny played well Waite showed signs up forward - that miss in the first was unforgivable though Teams won't kick 15.1 in a half against us again |

Karl has no right foot? He's in big trouble then as he's a natural right footer! ![]() Karl has probably the best skills of any talls on our list bar Kouta. He has a long way to go but his skills are usually his strong suit. |

I reckon the biggest postive to come out of today is we can now lower our expectations so disappointments wont be as great. Carrazzo too loose for a back pocket.. his disposal is terrible and so too is his decision making. Still its only his 5th game of AFL footy but id prefer to have him learn the caper in the VFL. We can now continue on the road to find ourselves the back pocket we need. (Id like to see McGrath play back pocket and make it his. Livo, Walker, Bannister, Chambers, Thornton,T-Lo and Fisher all one game closer to playing some more seniors footy is another positive. |

You would think so, wouldn't you? Although that's what I've been comforting myself with over the last 2 weeks when the opposition has won or almost won because of far superior goal conversion. Perhaps it's a little bit of false comfort. |

Perhaps it's a little bit of false comfort. It's easy to achieve such a conversion rate when you are having 50% of your shots from less than 5m out - the application from our backmen in the goal square was deplorable! |

Forgive me for not knowing he's a right footer as he rarely gets amy kicks and made a priceless stuff up in the middle when he couldn't find his "right foot". |

Might sound bizarre, but I found it a good sign when I heard tonight on the radio that Collingwood had a "surprise win" over us. That tells me that people are starting to take us seriously. I like what that indicates for the future. |

God help us if a shithouse club like Collingwood can beat us. To me .. we can take very little out of this game because we were expected to win and didnt. The positives for me were Stevens- Led from the front all day and tried his guts out. Betts whos star keeps getting brighter with each game..each touch. Deluca- Who wants to play footy and is just happy being out there doing what he can do to help us. Barnaby, in my opinion one of the best big guys going around at the moment and is very underated. Is doing too much for one person and needs help. Kouta.. still monstering opposition players in the clutches. Then there are a few who did ok... Then there are some that a decision needs to be made on in the short term. We need an injection of pace and some size. Another positive to come out of the game was some of the umpiring decisions that helped us not to be completely humiliated. Next time you use an umpire as an excuse for losing games remember this one. ....the wheel turns and sometimes you are in front and sometimes youre behind when the siren goes but if you look over a history of footy it has all evened itself out. |

Syn, if you're referring to my comments re McClown, I'm not saying he cost us the match per se, more that his umpiring was a shocking travesty against football in general. I don't think the maggots helped us as such, nor did they specifically cost us, but the fact that the umpiring left a bad taste in not only my mouth says a lot. |

KK, i wasnt referring to you. Just that in my opinion the umpiring helped us along and we still couldnt win. Love to know how T Lo went in the ressies the small marking option spot is screaming out to be taken at the moment. Davis has to be the most inconsistent player on the list. Im not talking game to game but stanza to stanza and touch to touch. If he had marked and goaled in the third we would have broken their back (maybe) instead it went down the other end and goal... We cant afford those kind of mistakes at the moment. Were still fragile. We really need some security in our execution and decision making. Theres about 5 i would let go for next week. Some have shown theyre not ready.. and we do need to inject pace and height as well as reward the Bowyers/Benticks/Bannisters etc when we do put in shockers. I class today as a shocker!!! There were no excuses . Its not the Australian test team. If you dont perform to a standard here you should be out and someone else whould be given a go to prove their worth for this season and beyond. |

Good call. Davies needs a rocket put up him in a massive way. What can possibly be used to motivate him? Is The Fish injured, or maybe he could make a nice return... How are the other walking wounded looking (Walker, Livo, etc)? |

Absolute crap all round Nothing can be drawn from this game besides, as Synbad said, we can now be a bit more realistic about the squad. We're not a great team yet if we lose to this Collingwood side. Carrazzo.... dude.... buy some new boots or something. How could one guy be so good at getting it and feeding by hand, but suck so much by foot? I reckon they've got to drop him, really. The guy's a liability. He's almost our Rhyce Shaw now... except good at the other stuff. Either stick him in at the stoppages where he doesn't have to think as much for each disposal (and get fewer kicks), or get him out of the team. Carrazzo, mate, I like ya.. but you're just killing us. I'd start running Carrazzo on the ball as our main tag-player. Get him away from having to feed ball from half back. Pagan...... where's plan B mate? I saw Bradshaw tonight 1-on-1 for most of the game, taking Fevola-esque 1 handers. What are we doing to get Fevvie room? Its almost as though they play 2 on him..... and.. well... that's it! Kick it over Fevola to DeLuca one-out... that seemed to be the plan... or, perhaps... get Fevvie into a position to take our marks inside 50!! And Teague as our loose guy? Sure, he can drop back and cover 2.. but....... going forward........???? Wiggo... how about using him? Give Wiggo a spot and just play him there. None of this coming off the bench crap. If he's a forward... start using him. If he's a tagger.. give him a job. If he's a defender.... let him pick up someone! Let the bugger get angry and courageous and fight for us.!!!!!!! Davies... yep, you need a spell dude. Another shocking kick. Plan B, Denis..... time to start working on it I reckon. OVERALL: Crap. Positives? Well, I suppose I'll be less drunk than this tomorrow IF WE CAN'T BEAT THIS PISSY COLLINGWOOD TEAM, THEN WE DON'T DESERVE TO BEAT ANYONE EVER I've already had to field Collingwood taunts about Wooden Spoons.... I mean... that's BLOODY RICH SCREW YOU ALL |
