give the pies their due and perhaps we can learn from them
1. they were just too balanced all across the ground
2. they persisted
3. and were committed to winning

I feel for our backline, it's tough to lay the pie success only on tarrant and rocca.

their half back line was very good after half time - shaw, clement and walker - hard and attacking

and their midfield - morrison beat Kouta, holland (3 goals) and licuria (2 goals) made look ours look cheap i.e campo and stevens were terrible today on the defensive

Go blues!!

Look, we should all listen to Blue Vain.

The signs were on the wall early in the week.

The media bagged the pies flat out the whole week.

Footy is 90% above the shoulders.

They played better footy than us.

We lost.

Bring on next week.

I like your positivity, Jarusa. And I do share it looking forward to the longer term. But I'm not sure why you'd be looking forward to the next week or 2, where we've got to travel interstate. We'll be moving from 'real chance of winning' territory to 'very little chance of winning' territory, even if we recapture some of our preseason form.

footy is a funny game!

You never know what is going to happen week to week.

Having said that, the extra momentum the goal from the Whitnall "deliberate" decision gave the Pies certainly didn't help. Geez when I guy is being tackled and he handballs forward and into the field of play, what more do you want from him? Shocking decision. And even worse commentating for not pointing out just how bad a decision it was.

We should have put them away on any of the countless times we were three goals up. Full credit to the Pies, they wanted it more.

Digby and Norman stink. Their efforts ranged from pathetic through to inept. The critics are right, out backline has no depth.

Sporn needs to be dropped.

And what's with this leaving the man in the backline unmarked and dropping back. If we'd played man on man we could have won that.
