One of these blokes was espousing an idea about increasing membership dollars which may or may not have merit. He says he thought about it when he was over in Perth a few weeks ago and was speaking to West Coast and Freo supporters who find it nigh on impossible to get a gig at any games at Subi (West Coast games especially)
When you consider that both teams have memberships which are greater than the capacity of the stadium, they would love to be able to come to Melbourne to watch their teams as it is sometimes the only way to do so.

What do you people reckon.

The crux of the idea is to have a "Club Support" package offered to interstate clubs.
So your basic silver membership could have a West Coast component offered on it which would serve a few different purposes.
A/. Would allow Carlton supporters a ticket at West Coast/Carlton games in Subi.
b/. Would allow West Coast supporters a ticket at any Melbourne based West Coast game (either free or at a reduced cost.)
C/. Free entry to West Coast/Carlton games here.
D/. Possibly package it along with flight and motel discounts here in Melborne (or Perth)
E/. Increase membership $ for each club as a component of each package would go to each team (like the AFL Club Support Packages).
Obviously details would have to be nutted out but I reckon it has some merit.
