Fahour, Grollo targets

Quote:
Disgruntled powerbrokers are considering stepping up their campaign to remove all or some club directors, and are desperate to have Fahour and Grollo on their ticket.

Some negotiation with the AFL is required. If we can get their Grollo and Fahour's commitment and get the AFL to throw in Fitzpatrick, we'd have the maikings of a great board. Replace Malouf and start from scratch.

Ahmed wanted to be be President a while back when Collins approached him to take over. The NAB Board told Ahmed in no uncertain terms that they don't pay him to spend "their" time running a football club.

Being just a board member may be a more realistic option, as opposed to being President, dur to his NAB commitments.

Ahmed will be helping out in a far greater way shortly.

I think Ahmed may make a better board member than President anyway. I'm not convinced that running a business that effectively runs itself in terms of profit would necessarily make him best suited to run a footy club. His business nous and contacts would make him an invaluable board member though.

Graham Smorgan, you must resign immediately!!!

You have failed to strengthen the club.

You have failed to lead the club in a strong and forthright manner.

You have failed to sell the club.

You lack positivity which is crucial in this industry.

You have zero charisma which is crucial in this industry.

You have created depression not excitement.

You have less than the bare minimum of required footy smarts to be a football club President.

You have taken the clubs standing to a new low when I thought it couldn't get any lower.

You are now regarded by the football world as a totally incompetent football club President.

For the good of the CFC you must resign from the board immediately!!!!

I think you'll find that never happens - Smorgon and Fahour a pretty close personal friends!

Anyone on this site could have written that.

Agree, I can't see Ahmed on the Board in the sort term, but he is working on something that potentially is just as important to our off field future.

He's going to sell Sticks on Ebay and use the proceeds to pay off our debt. How cool would that be for the winner. Just sitting around with Sticks, watching footy and drinking beer. Of course, you'd have to take him straight to the pool room.

And then when there is a dispute about what to watch on TV between you and your mum, Sticks can side with you only to agree with your mum in the end.
