The word is the club doctors are completely alarmed by developments.
The sacrificial lamb has included Mulkearns who had a good history of keeping OP and soft muscle injuries to a min
We have 5 players going in for ops .They will be left to rehab themselves with noone ready to take over. The club doctors are concerned this can put the recoveries back a long way....

One of the reasons French left was because he just couldnt handle Denis and the players DONT want to play for him.....Interesting to hear a kid like Setanta pumping Mitchell up yesterday at the Bullants game on ABC REALLY pumping up Mitchells tyres.....and citing him as a big part 0of his development because Michell believes in him.

Now Mitchell miht not be the big name some supporters in here want... but what people dont understand is thats who the players want to play for and they have a deep believe in him for their development.

The board in my opinion is negligent to not sack Denis.. They shit themselves .. they sacked Mulkearns without a replacement .. kept Denis and club morale is at an all time low... Denis is still here...

This is a board that has no idea...its a rabble.. and it has compromised the players and the club!!!

They have to go!!!

I agree with what you are saying Synbad but the fact is DP is still there so what do you do about it. You bring in someone who will bring a strong presence to the table who will be there for the kids and improve their development. The fitness thing is a concern but the puppet has departed and I hope Mitch stays .Synbad 2007 in a way doesnt matter if your talking about finals. We are so off the mark from the Eagles and Swans after watching last nights game with the best coach in the world.

Another poor year and Pagan and the board will be gone and Brown and his men will get their way.Its inevitable but at the moment we dont have the power to do that because we are sucking up to the spew.

Synners I would like Pagan and the board out but there are too many things stopping it now. This goes right back to Big Jacks time.We are still paying for the fuckups from 6 years ago.The good news is not just us but people like Ratten and Brown see it as well.Eventually it will happen .The timing is just not right yet.

Anyway, we haven't hit the bottom of the barrel yet.

We still have to wait for Whitnall to be made captain. Then we can truly say we have hit rock bottom.

Do Carlton have a full time psychologist as well? (Cause we need a few)
Or have we run out of money for that too.

Not entirely true Synbad.

a) the reason Mulkearns was removed was really because he came across from North by Pagan instruction...

b) Pagan and Mulkearns did not allow J.Waite to go to the Essendon* club doctor when our club doctor was away...this got back to the board and a few weren't impressed at all by their actions.

c) Of course Setanta is going to pump up Mitch's tyres....he's the only real personable coach he's ever known!!

Dr Sherrin.. agreed.. but before they got rid of him they have to have replaced him.
We dont have a replacement for him already lined up.
Though a kid like Walker has just had an operation. So he has to resume with his rehab and training to bring himself back.

Murphy is and Kennedy are also in rehab.. and a few others going under the knife..

They have to have full faith in the system!!!

The board is responsible for making sure there is a dr always available for our players.
So the fact that Pagan and Mulkearns were buffons on the Essendon* Dr is an indictment on the board for neglecting their responsibilities to our players (by among other things making sure there is always access to professional medicos)

The board should go!!!

We can do without THIS board we cant do without a conditioning coach..

Ive been hammered for being negative for a long time.. but im just realistic.... things wont turn to blue skies because the papers says so... (before we turned them against us too)

And don't take this the wrong way synners, but right now your posts are like a car accident.

I KNOW they're going to be about the board, and I WANT to look away, but I CAN'T because just when I think we've heard everything about how terrible the situation is at Carlton right now, you can always find something to top it.

What next? Murphy to quit in disgust over a board member's attempt to get him to be the entertainment at all his nephew's birthday parties?

Smorgo to sign a deal with Dunlop for $30,000 a year, forcing the players to do all their pre-season training in KT-26's?

The club to pick up yet another broken-down crock with dodgy knees AND yet another player with questionable off-field ethics? Except this time, it's not two different people, it's all rolled into the one wonderful package...

Seriously though - keep 'em coming. All supporters need to be aware of the truth of the situation.

Wrightly or wrongly, this stuff doesn't keep oozing out from certain people unless it has some sought of merrit.

If you read the other clubs forums, how many of them have this info coming too hand regularly. Not many I would have thought.

Now I know most of this is second hand info for many of us, but the frequency and detail of some info is quite alarming.

The main question that we need too ask ourselves is:

Do you think with the current circumstances that this is possible?

And the answer is probably YES.

That's what's alarming.

This is scary
This is really f*&king scaring me now
This board must go
I can handle most things pretty well but when you start putting the health and careers of our young players in jepody something has to be done.

I (as a Blue supporter) should be looking forward to a new horizon with a new coach a solid young list improved by some rich pickings in the draft,

However all this board has done is filled me with fear

Just one question (for anyone who can answer) I am from interstate (NSW), what type of membership do I have tp purchase to allow me to get a vote in the next board meeting as I like most of you am so angry about this that as they would say in BB

Its time to go

How do you get rid a of a bloke that has helped keep the list so injury free????

You know we need 2 picks in the top 5 next year to really fill our list out with talent, but not if it is going to cost us playersat the same time....

Just when I thought this saga couldn't get any worse.... What an absolute disgrace. How can you not immediately replace a strength and conditioning coach when you have players coming out of post-season ops. And not just any players, Walker, Murphy and Kennedy are the future of this club and they are being put at serious risk.

Surely the board has a duty of care to uphold? This goes beyond being incompetent, this is negligence. I am absolutely furious.... this board must go NOW!

To vote you must have at least a Silver membership.
Agree with board change, no more incompetence, frustration & embarrassment, enough is enough.
Let 's rally in support of the CFC and help reinstate it to it's rightful position on top of the heap, no matter what or how long it takes.
Ciao

Lets hope the members dont shit themselves when push comes to shove. I can see a lot of members not wanting to vote for change because they dont want to see any more disruption. Just like the ones that wanted Pagan to stay. flower idiots.

I hope this challenge happens, we need to get word out to members some how and make them hear the facts of why change is needed. These members that dont want change just stick their heads in the sand and DO NOT SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE.............

Post subject:  Getting sick and tired of all this anti Pagam posturing

There is a lot of anti Pagan hysteria being perpetuated in TC and what concerns me is whether these character assasinations are warranted or even justified.

Not only is the club slowly disintegrating but so is its supporter base. This factionalism between the pro and anti Pagan clans will only serve to further undermine the club when it needs us most. Those threatening not to renew their memberships because of recent outcomes should be ashamed of themselves, particularly at this point time when the club needs them most.

Sometimes with emotions running high the truth gets lots and we confuse fact with rhetoric. For example all along I have been under the mistaken belief that Ratten left the club after falling out with Pagan. Pagan the tyrant was the cause and he would not return to the club until Pagan has retired. More evidence of Pagan's poor people skills.

Yet in today's Sunday Age " Ratten told Triple M he would have secured Pagan's job and said he would like to a part of the coaching staff there one day" So in effect he endorses the decision to continue with Pagan at the helm and would love to go back to the Club.

Don't know who to believe anymore. The Sports Journos aren't the only ones with credibility problems.

I believe blokes like Rats do want to somehow find themselves back at the club but it must be asked - Is Rats wanting to help Pagan or be there for when Denis goes?

Well if he has endorsed the decision to keep him on you can reasonably assume he would want to help Pagan. Am I missing something?
