Well another shambles at Carlton. Another poor season with another wooden spoon. Another off season which we wonder how on earth this club will ever get back to consistent winning football in September.

The events of the last couple of days and the absolute belting we're receiving in the media because of it have now completely overshadowed any positives the football world (and potential sponsors) would have seen from the playing group and club in general in 2006.

Let's not forget that Fev won our first Coleman Medal in a awfully long time, Marc Murphy's first 13 games are probably up there with ANY player in the last 25 years comparitively, the big Irishman has shown enough to suggest he'll be a quality long term player for this club and informed sources reckon his younger brother little big Irish is even better than he is! Throw in Andrew Walker (champion in the making), Josh Kennedy, Kade Simpson and even the inconsistent Jarrad Waite and there's plenty to look forward to.

It's easy to get carried away with all the doom and gloom currently enveloping this great club (it is great despite what's happened), but I think there's plenty to look forward to in 2007 and more importantly - BEYOND.

This is not the time for bickering and back stabbing, now is the time for leaders to lead and true Carlton people to come to the fore because we need you now. We ALL need to say to ourselves "what am I going to do to help this great club". The club is bigger than individual agendas and egos and the supporters and the champions of yesteryear deserve better than this.

It's late in the 4th and we need 3 goals to win. Where to from here?
