...the Board must go.

On Tuesday night the vote to keep Denis went 8 votes to sack him & 2 votes to keep him.

A vote was then taken as to who should be appointed.

5 votes to appoint Barry Mitchell

5 votes against Barry Mitchell.

Lots of discussion ensued - no resolution could be reached.

A decision was taken to adjourn and meet again Wednesday night.

The pro-Mitchell camp arranged for him to present to the board on Wednesday afternoon.

At 4.00pm Wednesday Denis believed he was gone.

Going into the Wednesday board meeting an ice breaker was introduced – bring in SOS to assist Denis.

SOS was informed during the board meeting, via telephone, that the board would appoint him assistant to Denis and after 1 year SOS would be installed as coach.

All voted on this and it was passed. SOS understood this to be the deal.

Meeting adjourned.

Smorgan stood on the steps and announced to the media that Denis had the support of the board for the next 2 years.

This was contrary to the vote and the agreement that had been reached.

SOS couldn’t believe what Smorgan said. It was contrary
to the deal.

On Thursday SOS told the club that he would not join the club as they had now reneged on the deal.

The board is not competent – change is desperately needed before the brand of our once great club is totally ruined.

The thing that gets me the most out of this is 8 VOTES AGAINST & 2 VOTES FOR...So why is he still here if nearly all of them agreed that he should go?? :?

Gary Lyon basically confirmed what Razor has said RE SOS. They also showed Smorgon denying that SOS had been offerred any coaching role.

Smorgon is out of his league every time he puts his face on TV.

How reliable is this info? There are so many rumours going around..... not sure what to believe. But no matter if true or not, we need a new Board with strong leadership and a Board that does not leak.....

I know you can't believe everything you see or hear on TV but the Footy Show backed up this information.

Could someone tell me if a Group were to prepare a ticket to challenge the board when could they legally challenge?
