Four years on, two consecutive wooden spoons and all but a 100 point loss in the last game of the year.

Our last remaining premiership player to stand down as captain and no genuine alternative to replace him.

Our best player for the year benched because of poor team discipline. He can't be captain.

And then we start looking at things off the field.

This sucks!

We need a revitalised and imaginative board to take this @#$%&! club by the scruff of it's neck and drag it's arse out of the red. We need to start leading the way off the field. Innovation. Imagination. Belief. These things are lacking as much in our off field leaders as they are with the footy department.

We need a new coach able to breath new life into our existing players and willing to adapt and learn to modern day football. Someone willing, ready and able to lead us out of the quagmire in a positive frame of mind.

We need more new talent than we can ever imagine. We need someone to lead our players into a new era.

We need hope. Right now, we don't even have that!

Absolutely right camel.

Today's game reminded me of Rd 22 2003 when we were pumped by the Kangas. Sadly we haven't seemed to have made up any ground since then. Pagan must go. Enoughs enough.

I think you need to follow some of your own advice Liam. ;)

It's a bit raw for everyone at the moment, but you're right that change is needed somewhere, even if only to get the ball rolling.

There's a lot of people who can give a lot to this club, and they're hanging back at the moment because they have their own agendas.

So to those people - If you truly loved the club and didn't just want to sit pretty atop a champion team, you'd have pulled your finger out of your ass by now and done something about the situation we're in.

Approach the board - forget about this political back-stabbing crap - and discuss the options. The board positions don't provide those in them any financial incentive, so it's not like they're not going to stand aside if there's someone better.

Cue Synbad screaming how they won't budge. What a load of crap. They're knee deep in the crap trying to help how they can, even if they don't know how to get the job done.

Last game of the year, players thought it was mad Sunday.
I wouldn't worry about it, allot of players were asleep today and couldn't wait until the game was over.

We can stick the 3 wooden spoons together and make a limbo stick and sing "how low can we go, how low can we go"

Yep. It's not a true reflection IMO.

The true reflection was or competitive games throughout the whole season. We did fairly well in quite a few games.

It is such a contrast seeing the Swans with their old heads, such a mature, composed and skillful group, add to that how knuckled down they'd be for a shot at the flag...It's really not the game that made me throw something at the T.V. ....Eagles did the same thing to Richmond.

Me too Danny! I don't even care about his off field crap, the guy's body can't handle AFL football.

If the club recruit Gardiner the club can start locking up MC Hammer Oval and call in the troops as it will get very messy quickly.

I hope we've learned our lesson from Saddington. A fresh change of club doesn't make a difference to a guy who is injury prone. I thought Saddington was worth a gamble but in hindsight it didn't work out, lets not make a a more costly mistake and give up our first pre-season pick.

Now thats French has retired we shouldn't just panic.

Do we throw out any other plans in place with our National and PSD because French has retired.

If we have too go with Bryan, Deluca and Mclaren for one more year or so, then so be it.

We should consider two for a rookie spot and see how we go, or pick up one with our last pick from the VFL, SANFL, or WAFL if we really need to.

Just don't panic and grab a Gardiner or Everitt in a panic.

What we have can at least absorb some of the damage, or we just rove too the opposition.

I am not saying that a descent ruckman won't make a difference, but just don't throw out any other strategies we have.

He was in Sydney early. http://carltonfc.com.au/default.asp?pg= ... eid=293419

The ground in that picture is the Brewongle stand and the Ladies adjoining it of the SCG.

He might have flown back to Melbourne after this but it would have been a waste of money.
