Ever since the pre season started A LOT has been said about our rookies.
Setanta is continuing to improve day by day.
Aisake has taken to football like a duck takes to water.
Jesse D is hard at and a real blue collar worker.
Boom Boom has a bit of dash and flair about him.
Batson could be a real find for us if he develops accordingly.

But what of our other rookie player, Sam Plemming?

Has he done anything in the VFL worthy of recognition?

Is he showing signs that he is worth pursuing next year?

I know it was said at some stage last year that Denis and co believe he is a project player and may take more than two years to get anything out of him. Do they still believe this or is he on borrowed time?

"I went yesterday and can add the following:

Jordan Bannister kicked a Phil Manassa goal with a 120 metre run, 4 or 5 bounces, evading 3 to 4 players and goal from 30 metres out.

Sam Pleming played in defence yesterday on Ben Holland and although the windy conditions did not suit forwards he did a great job in defence and read the play very well.
Andrew Walker is much more talented than Bowyer, Johnson and Clarke put together but he did not play as well as those guys yesterday. If he gets picked this week it is on talent and not on form. Bowyer on form should be the first guy picked from yesterdays game."

Shit Phoenix ! I completely forgot Plemo. What a travesty. What i have seen of him is good.Reckon he should have copped as much flack as lance last year over his weight.Carried a heap of baby fat.Looked like Mal Brown in his heyday.Hes really trimmed down this year, and looks like hes picked up a yard or two.Thought he did well in the practise matches.Could not say if he is going to go on with it,but i reckon he has improved out of site.
