Ok, Pagan laments our poor skills, we can see poor skills when we watch the games either on TV or live. What exactly is the problem?
Having chatted with a mate about it, a lot of our problem is that we kick the ball at teammates rather than into space for our players to run into or lead towards. We all moan that we kick the ball towards a contest, but really, what choice do we have? No-one makes leads or the leads are ignored.
NO ONE PRESENTS! And when they do, it's not kicked to them. How many times have we screamed - LEAD! PRESENT! How many times has Josh Kennedy made a good lead and he's ignored?
FFS Denis, Trout, Libba, whoever, surely it's not that hard to see. If a supporter living in Sydney who's only seen 1 live Carlton game this year (vs Sydney) can work this out, then why the hell don't you? I've watched a lot of Swans games (every home one) and their players make continual leads and they kick the ball in front of the lead so that the defender can't easily spoil.
Sheesh!
