Post subject:  Media Manager should be sacked??
Rang up the radio station this morning and asked why we have not heard from any Carlton people all year as 2 what is going on down there and a little insight as 2 what's happening within the club ie: players and what not. Because i'm getting pretty sick of listening 2 sheedy and richo or ling all the bloody time and just wanted 2 know if anyone has contacted the blues and this is the answer i got.

The media manager at carlton does not like any player or coach 2 be interviewed on sen,927 or aw and makes it pretty hard 2 do so, in his words he said 2 me that our Media Manager needs 2 lighten up!!!!

After i heard that i was pretty pissed off, because the state our club is in, we need all the media exposure we can get. It's an absolute disgrace that our media department doesn't get on the front foot and sell our brand 2 every man and his dog cause our on field performence won't rake in the sponsorship dollars we need 2 survive. He also noted 2 me that all coaches have been interviwed this year by a radio network except good old DP!!! If anything we should be the most accessable club. Just wanted 2 share that with you all. Pretty interesting stuff??

Unfortunately, our Club is adopting a head-in-the-sand mentality towards the media, which is counterproductivem regardless of how much they have excoriated us over the last 4-5 years.

Carlton is so far behind the rest of the pack it would be laughable if it weren't a serious matter.

Has a Carlton person EVER been on that show?

Scotland was on White Line Fever last week, while Houla was on 927 breakfast show. Pagan has done the odd interview & was on MMM pre-match last Sat.

I emailed them a few weeks back and they said they only have people on who are topical at that time

The thing that really pisses me off is that the f@#$$% bombers are as low as us yet Sheedy and Lloyd are either on radio or TV every second day. As much as we all hate the pricks they know how 2 still get most of the media coveridge despite being on the bottom of the ladder. Maybe someone should harrass Ian Coutts about it on Club Corner Tuesday nights if we still do that show!!

Our media profile is like ever other aspect of the club…….amateur amateur amateur!! A classic example of this was last Sat. At 1/4 time after our coaching staff were late again to the huddle (this time by 2min), Pagan who was even later eventually walked onto the ground and started walking towards the bombers huddle!!! All you can do is laugh!!!

Couttsie is alright, hes a good man, we even got him framed. There are a lot of things we would like to do, but simply can not afford too.

Yeh true, we're all over the place, i been waiting months for pics to do more wallpapers, the site got a revamp and looks good, but to stay on top we need things that fans want.
