Motlop had a chance to make a hero of himself yet dropped his head when it counted. Betts took his opportunity with two hands and helped Carlton FC to a draw. Is this the making of Eddie Betts? I certainly hope so!

I don't know whether this will be the making of Eddie Betts but it certainly will go a long way to giving him more confidence.

His defensive work is second to none, he just needs to get the offensive side of his game into top gear, be consistent, and then he'll make more of a name for himself.

Eddie Betts has the potential to be the number 1 small forward in the league. He is capable of kicking 40+ goals a year which is very handy for a small forward.

Eddie has pulled out some brilliance when it has counted over the last two weeks ..

Motlop - when was he a hero?!!?

I have said it time and time again....Motlop is nothing but a smart arse show pony...I have always said he is a very very overated footballer and I would prefer Eddie to him any day...Betts runs and runs and does not stop running till he lays a tackle.....I love it when I see opposition take Eddie on, because they have no chance in hell of getting away from him.

I think it's unfair to pigeon hole Eddie with Motlop.

When it came to the crunch Eddie had the confidence and the desire to do the job for his team.

Yes Motlop took a great mark, but as soon as he heard the siren he went to water. He didn't want the responsibility.

Eddie is miles ahead of Motlop in my book.

Eddie is a good little player that will become a great little player.

Motlop i love watching. He is one of those players that can mesmerise you. Hes abit eratic but i think as he matures and becomes more consistent he will become very Nathan Brownish,(certainly doesnt mind selling out his club like Brown)

But absolutely magic when he is going...

Eddie is a different kind of player... but i love the little fella.. :-D

Statement was also made in the sun that Eddie Betts also was the highest percentage contested ball winner in the forward line. Endevour can not be faulted, Go make your Betts!
