Somebody mentioned elsewhere that Kennedy didn't get much of a run, so I watched the replay closely last night. He 'played' the entire 1st quarter, and most of the second. Got a decent run in the 3rd quarter, but I don't think was seen in the last. Simply he had a poor game, and so spent some time on the pine as a result. |

Simply he had a poor game, and so spent some time on the pine as a result. Because we went with too many talls.A few of them underdone. How exactly was Joshs game worse than Fishers Waites or Barnabys?? The problem was that Denis in all his wisdom rather than bring up Ryan Jackson as an extra midfielder... had so many tall forwards they were in each others way. Consider. Fev Kennedy Bryan Waite Fisher Koutefides and then he even had to move Lance up there because were always looking at finding places for Lance to fit into a structure..... Have i missed anyone?? well if i havent thats eight talls in the forward line... Absolutely stupid in the modern game.Where you need runners and midfielders. Especially when 3 arent match fit... |

![]() oh yeah.....!!! what structure. Look its a pretty piss poor forward structure. We talk abouty how great our forward line is but the vast majority of goals kicked are Fevs. Glad little Eddie is back to doing what he does best.. (crumbing) instead of just only looking at arms to ping . Great game by Eddie |

Simply he had a poor game, and so spent some time on the pine as a result. Could'nt have watched it that closely, he played about 43 minutes, which equates to around one and a bit quarters in total. So as you stated he simply had a porr game is a long way off the mark. I wish you people would get your facts right before making a broad comment like that. |

Hardly saw him after the first quarter but he made a lot of good leads and was ignored. Our guys really only want to go to Fev. |

while we do that we will struggle, its not hard for other teams to work out where the ball is going to be kicked coming into our forward line. We need to give kennedy more time and kick to him, maybe go into a game or two with the attacking plan of kicking to kennedy as first option, rather than fev who will have 2 or 3 opp. on him. |

Kennedy made great position on quite a few occasions and was blatantly ignored. Why ? |

I thought it was more like 42 and a couple of nano-seconds... but that's just a rough estimate ![]() |

Mick its something I have seen at junior and suburbun clubs and a lot of AFL/VFL clubs but thought it had died out a long time a go and thats the junior players getting ignored on leads when they are in fact in superior position to senior players, maybe he it is an instruction for Kennedy to be a decoy, but it makes little sense if Kennedy is in fact in a better position to score. ![]() |

as has been discussed ad nauseam, our decision making leaves a lot to be desired!! also, as many have said, we were too tall up forward. pagan preferred to go in with this in order to get games into guys like waite and fisher. at the moment we are fev (and waite) conscious. it'll all change next year when a stronger and fitter kennedy plays that sort of game where he announces himself on the football world. |

We've seen it take a few games for the more senior players to have faith in Setanta - Kennedy will be the same. That being said I reckon Heath Scotland is a major perpetrator of this - he seems to ignore younger players more often IMO. |

![]() You dont really believe that Jack......do you? Josh busts packs, gives a contest and causes crumbs. Thats more than I'd expect from any 19 year old key forward. Poor game my arse. ![]() |

perhaps he was given things to look at, like disposal of some, where not to run of others, how to miss easy shots with still others ![]() |

I think the problem with Denis is he likes to play it safe... he is more with the devil he knows than the devil he doesnt know. He would much rather play Waite and Fish even if semi fit than the unknown Kennedy. He is safe. He has a method and he believes in it.. even if that method has holes... You wouldnt think Denis would be anything more than a steak and eggs man. Unfortunately peoples diets have changed so much....that steak and eggs dont cut it any longer.... We want Florentinos and that yummy truffle pasta.. |
