When was your first Carlton win? The first win that Carlton had after you were born. I guess for those of you born out of the footy season you might have had to wait a few months. Me, I had to wait just 2 days for a 52 point victory over the Cats.

Can't say I remember much about it though. :P

How long did you have to wait?

A free GOLD STAR to the first person who was born on the same day as a Carlton win! 8)

My daughter was born on Saturday 23rd June 1990 - the day Carlton came back from 41 points down at half time to beat Geelong at Princes Park - it was all my wife could do to stop me naming her Stephanie after Stephen Kernahan and Stephen Silvagni who kicked both kicked bags that day.

Agro Senior distinguished himself by being present at the birth with radio earpiece in ear at around 4.40pm whilst daughter was being born at near the moment of the final siren - Mrs Agro has forgiven me 16 years later  and daughter (Alexandra - after the great number 25  ) is a dyed in the wool Navy Blue. 8)

February 18th, 1987, was when I was born.

So I guess when Carlton notched up their first win in '87.

First game first win when I was 7 (Dad not into footy but took me along)
Game was against the Dees in 1976 – we won by about 40 points though we kicked pretty badly.

My first loss was when I was 9 in 78 first semi against the Pies – had a superb win/loss ratio for my 10 years or so of watching footy.

Not born on a win – my oldest nephew was born the day Dorotich destroyed the Saints at Waverley in 1992. However my nephew is now a Collingwood supporter

After a disappointing 10 point loss to Footscray 2 days after my actual birth (4 June 1970), A magnificent 85 point win against Melbourne at Princes Park, including a 13 goal to 5 second half.

I was born two days short of a draw with Footscray where both sides went scoreless in the second half, but the first win was an annihilation of Fitzroy at Waverley one week later.

ah, feb. 25th 1988, so that would be....a 15 point win to the blues against the hawks in the grand final replay on 2/4/88.

the blueboys, without johnno, meldrum and rhys-jones, had the match sealed by new-recruit david kernahan.

Ok, found it. Where's my GOLD STAR!!! They won ON my birthday, round 11, June 29, 1957. As I was born at 11.22am this counts as my first Carlton win!!! We beat St.Kilda 13.14.92 to 7.13.55 in front of 21,454 at Princes Park!! We were 3rd at that stage while St. Kilda were crap, 2nd bottom.

I saw my first match on the 18th July 1964 against Melbourne, my first look at Princes Park in front of 17,831. We lost! We did well, led most of the day but like the current day Blues, fell on our @rses in the last qtr and lost by 12 points, 9.14.68 to 12.8.80. Remember standing on the wing where the Elliot Stand, or whatever they call it now, is. Melbourne won the flag that year while we finished 3rd last, also a bit like the current day Blues. We did win the flag 4 years later though after a PF the year before so we come good quick after getting Barassi across from Melbourne.
