Just as long as they don't recreate the Helen D'Amico incident.

Was a great watch. Loved it.
Good to hear he is still in contact with Bruce Doul.
Sounds like all those blokes from that era are still quite close.

How good was " Piggy " . The fact that that too this day he is so dismissive of all things Filth particularly that faaarking wanker who was supposedly the kid in the helmut in the front row . Actually , i do believe it . No one could act that good . What a faaarking cuff buff . Why was filth like that even on the show . Of course " Harmsey " handled the scum with ease ................his reply " Colling wood supporter , what else would you expect . Bangggggg ! Touche" ...........beautiful Harmsey you put that moronic thing back in the LOW place he came from .

Was it just me or did anyone else want to jump through the television and wipe that slimy smirk off that n uff nuff ring in . Absolute disgrace Andy Maher taking the gloss off the real purpose of the segment by hijacking the thing with that stooge ...............Sorry , wrecked the whole thing for mine .

I hate to sound like a dick, but the whole stackhat thing was bullshit, they weren't made until 1982. It's not hard to fact check.

I also recall (haven't checked) that the goal didn't put us 5 points up at all. I thought it put us up by more than a goal? Can someone confirm?

Correct.
That goal put us up by 11 points.
Something that doesn't get talked about as much was the mark to McConvile that wasn't paid and Collingwood got a goal that reduced the margin to 5 points.

You aint a dick Kerns , far from it . Kezz is absolutely spot on on both counts ..........they forever whine about that brilliant desperate never say die effort from " Piggy " but they never mention the clear mark by McConville . Now , i'm not making it up , coz i was there and that mark was right in front of me . Yep , right in front of me . McConville took a CLEAR mark , Ronnie Wearmouth , or should i say Weirdmouth came along , punched it it out of his hands , picked up the ball and goaled Absolute bullshit charity , however , no one brings that ripoff up ...............thanks Kezz for bringing your chrystal clear recollection up . You are spot on , we were up at the time , and no one mentions the Peter McConville mark ...............i know , i was there on that wet miserable day . It was not cold , it just drizzled ( not rained ) all day . But it was worth every bit of discomfort .

I was also there on that wet day.
It was the first premiership I had seen Carlton win.
I was sitting on the wing in the MCG members stand and the ball was right in front of us going to the Collingwood end when the siren went.

Mickstar, not to be picky but helmet guy is actually a Carlton supporter & an absolute ripper bloke. I think he was just enjoying pushing the ball was out line to stir the Collingwood supporters up. Even piggy does that.

It was weird about the stackhat though...they were definitely an 80s thing

All correct above, except it wasn’t Wearmouth who goaled it was Allan Edwards, ironically his son Jake ended up playing a few games for us.

What sort of Carlton supporter would pretend to be a Collingwood supporter? If this whole thing was a 'bit' it was very poorly executed. Did they make the whole helmet thing up? It fell very flat and made your mate look like he was, shall we say, dim.
