mark johnson putting the knee into kouta in 2000. quite simply, an Essendon* defining moment. it was the start of kouta's woes, and johnson can never be forgiven.

lloyd's continuous dives. he probably gets 1/4 of his goals through free kicks that aren't even there.

actually it's a shame that lloyd isn't in... he usually gets reported against carlton.

Who were the guys that Lloyd has smacked and subsequently suspended?

Was Mansfield one?

I lived in Essendon* in 1999. It was great walking to the tram stop on the morning in my carlton stuff, being called every name under the sun as I walked past all the shops with Essendon* stuff in the windows. It was also great walking home from the tram stop in my carlton stuff, singing Lily at the top of my voice to all the people in the shops with Essendon* stuff in the window...

Some reasons for my pathological despision of Essendon*:

 1993 draw, with Stick OOB after the siren, and Essendon* lap of honour after the game.

 1993 GF (Silvagni touched it!).

 Kevin Sheedy - a more overrated, overhyped smarmy wanker of a coach has never lived. Given the talkent he's had at windy hill over the past 25 years, he has seriously underachieved.

 Dustin Fletcher

 Matthew Allan

We cannot lose to these scumbags tonight. To ensure a good weekend, I need a Carlton victory. Come on you Blues!!

Great thread! But you have to add that maggot taking the ball off FitzPatrick, Timmy Watson leaping the pack, Jason Johnson assassinating Kouta and Wallis's one inch punch on Hanna in the 93 Grand Final.

May 2005 mark the return to Essendon*'s glory days a la the 1970's where they were bottom feeders & could only beat StKilda with any consistency.

I can't wait to sink it into their arrogant supporters tonight.

Just watch them squeel when we get on top.

I'll be waving my scarf at the scum as they leave the ground early in the last quarter.

It's gotta be the bottom four for this bunch this year.

Can't wait! I am very confident - blues by 5-6 goals.

GO YOU GOOD THINGS!!!!!!!!!! I wanna sing that song tonight!!!

He didn't get suspended for hitting Thornton. The Essendon* publicity machine swung into gear after that, much like they did after he headbutted Gaspar, so he could get off.

I'm sure he did get off in 2003 for punching T-Bird .....
Guys you forgot the most important one....
They haven't won 16 Grand Finals....
1924 they got the umpires to award them the premiership....obviously James is still pissed ooff with the umps for getting such a raw deal...
"Scotty..can we have the premiership this year"
"no James...youy have to win a GF"
"Oh you maggot....you bloody crucify us"

Didn't they ever - never heard the term "lovetap" used quite so much.

My earliest memory is Daniher sinking us in the last 1/4 at Windy Hill. I think thats when Fitzy got pinged also.

I used to get annoyed everytime I thought about those red & black scumbags. Now all I do is remember Brown's tackle on Dean Wallis-Sheedy in '99. Oh the joy :D :D :D :D

They've easily overtaken Collingwood as the most hated team...probably due to the fact Collingwood have been so pathetic the last 15 years while Essendon* have been a good team.
