Walker declared fit but not in the team. Would have to be injured I would have thought. Anyone surprised about Bannister dropped? (if not injured)

Wrong time to omit Bannister I think.

Good old Denis..."Karl won't play this week".... "Walker and Livo will play against the Bummers"

Good to see Norman & Simmo get a gig. Very suprised about Banno though.

I think its a great idea by Denis...What Walker needs is to play 4 quarters of footy...In the seniors, he just hasn't been getting any time on the ground...Great to see Simmo in too...Just hope Denis lets him play instead of putting him on the bench...Hope he has a blinder this week.. 8)

Thanks BW, I would have thought Bannister would have got another run.
Still I'm glad to see Simmp get a run.
Regards Pedro.

not too surprised with bannister - dont think we can afford to have sporn, mcgrath and bannister in the team - of the 3, bannister appears to offer the least atm.

was at SEN studios just before when the teams came through. Most of the boys there (Huddo particularly) were surprised about Walkers omission..

TE,

I agree.

Whilst he's been passable, he needs time in the middle and given his youth, some nursing through the year. If Fit (and I doubt it) he would be better suited to a vfl run.

Maybe denis was trying to keep him away from a "Scott & Michael" tester!

Interesting line-ups for both teams Friday night.

Think this will be a good game. Expecting this to be a tough match for the boys to win.

Simmo replaces Walker (needs to show some solid form in the VFL)
Wiggo for Bannister (let the Wiggler run loose!)
Norman for Livo (is this Karl's last chance?)

Lets notch up our first win Blueboys!!!

Which means Ess ins/outs as follows:

IN: Rioli, Zantuck, Cartledge, Lovett-Murray
OUT: Allan, Stanton, Bullen, Haynes

And they have not been able to call on Hille, Laycock and of course LLoyd. And some queries over MacPhee (OP) and Lucas (split webbing).

Allan's omission is surprising. He did well in the ruck last week, so he must be injured. If so, this is a major blow for Essendon*.

Presumably Lovett-Murray was elevated off the rookie list after Courtney Johns was placed on the LTI list. Bad luck for Johns - seems that he can't get over a hip problem, and there are many who say that he has the talent to succeed if he does. But good luck for Lovett-Murray. He deserves a spot, having played 20 games last year, and being 22 or so. Very athletic, and the only pity is that he comes in against us.

Yep, Allan has a knee injury. And Lovett-Murray replaces Andrew Lee, a first year player with OP. See Samantha Lane's article:Dons select Cartledge

Both Kade and Karl will have to produce close to thier best form from now on, week in week out to cements spots in the team. Kade deos ned more on ground time. Skywalker will benefit with a run in the Bullies and agree with previous comment re McGarth Wiggins and Jordan, all three are similar and I would rate Jordan just behind the other two at the moment.
