Feels like we may have gained just a little bit more respect from the Hawks now, whereas before, they saw us only as the easy beats that we were.

And also that he wants to play for us in his old age. :P

If he thinks he can just walk in and ride the Daniel Harford Gravy Train he's got another thing coming!

He was just interviewed by Sarah Jones and Jake Niall on AFL Tonight.

Not too much new, focus on Round 1, should be excited by the draftees' effort on Sunday, acknowledged we need to work on the forward line but he thinks that its more about getting the system right which we didn't do on Sunday because the weakened midfield meant it wasn't getting in.

Said Cripps would hopefully play against Sydney.

They also spoke about The Journey program which will air on March 15 which has followed the Blues all pre-season.

Nice, thanks for the heads up re The Journey. So without captain obviousing me, that'll be a Fox program I assume?

Some magnificent non-answers in the first half of that interview when pressed for selection information for round 1.

I'm starting to think they are saying to the playing group that they can have a finals tilt if they commit to 'the plan'.

They're protecting their IP pretty fiercely considering it's set to be a nothing season. There's dress rehearsals, and then there's this.

A lot of self-belief right now in the face of overwhelming odds, so I guess we'll see at the Sydney game.

FWIW, I don't think we've seen anything resembling our actual forward structure for more than a quarter's worth in each game.

That's probably because we traded all our forwards away

Kennedy in hindsight but the alternative was Fev.

I'll give you Betts and Waite but the rest needed to go; it's the reinforcements that have been awful.

Players will leave. It is what you get back that is important and something we have historically failed at.

I've heard a rumour.
An unfortunate one, I don't like to repeat, but as he's out there now this is what I heard:
Lyon and SOS are good mates
Lyon's contract ends in 2 years.
In 2 years Lyon will be offered the Coaches job. Bolts, having developed the squad, will be told to step aside.

I don't like that scenario.
Leave Lyon be. He's a runners up coach at best.

Can disregard this rumour now anyway.
