We have the same opportunity in the Northern Suburbs, but we haven't started to even scratch the surface with it yet.

Problem is we might have Brunswick, Coburg, Lalor and Epping covered but Collingwood has the rest of the Northern Suburbs.

I don't need to tell you which club has a high proportion of supporters in the housing commission houses around Reservoir.

Well we have a few in the housing commission area in Coburg

I was actually talking about Collingwood supporters. You can tell, 'cos every beat up old Falcon has the same Premiers 2010 sticker on the rear window.

Doc, all I want is an all out attack on getting the best recruitment department humanly possible.....if it costs a shitload so be it. If it means we pay a higher football dept tax, so be it.

I'm in the camp that says development is pretty good, just need to look at the amount of rookies who get games and become important parts of the side. I just think we make poor choices at the draft table.

The amount of rookies that get games at our club clearly highlights how bad we are with our recruitment in the draft proper.

Other than #1 picks how many of our 1st rounders have been undisputed successes?
What about 2nd round picks?
What about 3rd rounders?

Under new management only Temay appears to be a dud.

No...I just arrived back in Australia after 3 and a bit months o/s. Once I'm settled back in I'll contact my contact at the club and line something up. Perhaps November. Maybe Steven Trigg might like a chat as well. After having talks with front office staff from the Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL), Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, Colorado Rapids (MLS), Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies(MLB), World Golf Hall of Fame and other entities - we're nowhere near doing enough to communicate nor entertain our members/supporters and turning better fan engagement into revenue through member retention and additional sponsorships.

That's the crux of the discussions I want to have. The football department - whilst vital to the operations of the club, is a separate issue.

Doc, If you haven't already met with Mark, I have a request from Interstate Members. A number of us are prepared to pay for more than a Silver long distance/interstate membership, but waste a reserved seat if we pay for a normal Gold Membership. Many of us can only get to 2 or 3 home games per year. I would pay an equivalent amount to a regular Gold Membership if it just provided entry to a few games but provided some other incentive such as a discount on Presidents luncheon or something similar. It mightn't add to membership numbers but would increase revenue. " Gold Interstate Membership?"
