The same Brock McLean who averaged more contested possessions and more clearances than Mitch Robinson this year?
In fact he averaged the 4th highest amount of contested possessions and clearances at the club.

Good research on your behalf!

Good news on the Jefferey Garlett front.

He's sorted out a few important things.

Could turn around and be twice the player he was in 2011.

Forget about 2012.

Now hurry up and come back to Carlton.

............soon.

Cheers BB

Re: McLean.

I am NOT his biggest fan, however i'd say it's probably in our best interest to keep him. But with some conditions in his contract.
YES - He had a good end to the season, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he hasn't looked like giving a shit for 2 years now.
Come end of contract and with no other clubs interested and all of a sudden he starts playing well????? Pffft..... whatever.

Geez we have some list cloggers though. Some of these players, how in the hell did they get contracts. No wonder we're so quiet during trade week.

I'd much rather get rid of a few players who clearly aren't up to it and let Mick Malthouse go to work with what we have now. No point paying over the odd's JUST to draft somebody. (IE Dawes, etc etc)

..he started playing well cos he finally got his body right, one thing you can trust about the Brock is that he always tries his hardest/best..

Please.
No doubt Brock struggled in his first 2 years, but there is no way that you can say he wasn't trying his hardest.

Brock Mclean has played 25 games in 3 years.
He played well for the last half of the year but he doesn't hurt the opposition with his possessions.
How many wins has he played in?
He will always be a good player in a bad side. A fifth or Sixth midfielder in a good side.
If Carlton are to ever be contenders, he will need to be replaced

Could have fooled me in the VFL matches i watch last year and early this year.
He just didn't look interested in doing the 1%er's (such a chase etc).

going forward,........... i hope i'm wrong and he makes me eat my words.

I agree with Malthouse that our list is good enough. The only thing I would look at doing is trading either Hampson or Wornock.

I quickly put together our best team for next year and barring injuries all spots are pretty much filled. People really forget how bad our injuries were, when we had them and the injuries that our depth players had at the same time, I'm talking Bell, Mciness, Casboult, Warnock. Take a look at that goal to goal line, if they play most games ( I know it's a big "IF" ) we should make finals easy. If most of them fall over again we have some depth players to cover them but we may well be in trouble again. The question is who is out there that can fill the spots of Jamo/ Hendo or Waite/ Levi if they go down and who would come to our club just to be a depth player if we get injuries? I don't see much around. I'm happy to keep our picks this year and have faith in Rogers to pick the right players. Although I think he's nailed some late and rookie picks, history especially with early picks, will not be kind to Hughes hopefully Rogers reverses that.

B: Touhy Jamison Mciness when fit

HB: Scotland Henderson Laidler

C: Simpson Gibbs Yarran

HF: Garlett Casboult Robinson

F: Betts Waite Walker

R: Kruezer Judd Murphy

Int: Bell, Mclean, Carrazo, Warnock

In reserve/ Depth players: Armfield, Collins, Curnow, Davies, Duigan, Ellard, Hampson, Joseph, Lucas, White, Watson

Developing/ could step up - Mitchell, McCarthy, Bootsma, Dale
