I love the Klomp picture. :-D

Just browsing around as you do, and came across Peter Bedford's page:
http://www.blueseum.org/cfc/tiki-index. ... er+Bedford

Would it be a better idea if we got a picture of him in Carlton gear instead of South Melbourne?

In the last 3 months there have been an average of 125 page edits a day on the Blueseum.

That does not include changes made to the Galleries on the site.

Got contacted today by the great-grandson of Frank Martin via youtube, after he spotted his great-grandfathers image in the glorious past: glorious future video.

I've directed him to the blueseum, so hopefully he can add some more info.

Now that everyone is interested in Carlton again there are some menial admin tasks in the Blueseum that could do with a hand. Check out the Task List through the Homepage, but in summary, a few time-consuming tasks needing attention include:

* Updating the Round by Round formatting in 1930 - 1944 and 1949 - 1989. This involves going from game to game and ensuring:
- page format OK
- Titles for Milestones at the bottom are in bold (check out 2006 debuts to see what this looks like)
- no spaces after game links at the bottom (again check out 2006).

Most of these are just simply deleting an extra space, or bolding a word. Its pretty simple.

* Adding debuts to all players. I've done all but 1907 - 1913 and the information has been input into the relevant Debuts page. All this requires is:
- Add Milestone to the relevant games, including the players name
- Update player bio to include his debut game in the second line (ie under Playing Career)
- Checking out the format points as above.

I need to get on to some more creative points so would be glad for any assistance on the above.

M

I just bought a scanner!!!!

Here's that 1904 pic I promised months ago Jars

I tried uploading it myself but my chronic technical ineptness prevented me from getting it done. One of you nerds (ie Jars) can deal with it.

Deano, that picture is a little treasure trove. There are about half a dozen players in that photo who do not have a picture in their player profile page.

Could you do me a big favour and take the highest reolution scan you can of that photo and send it to my email address at

jarusa at iinet dot net dot au

That way I can crop the mugshots out for the players who need player profile pics. :-D

Thanks!!

Warbs, you might be right, that little bloke might be a throwback I don't know about :-D

Have emailed the pic to you now Jars - I hope the resolution is high enough - the scanner isn't a flash one - I'm very happy with it but!

Oh and btw - I bought myself one other pressy - a turntable that records to mp3. Thus I now have a mp3 copy of the 1982 3KZ Grand Final broadcast highlights as sold by the station all those years ago (picked it up on ebay).

I'll also have a copy of the song recorded by Gary Burrows for Peter Motley in the weeks after the accident. Side two has career highlights by Sandy Roberts.

How would I go about uploading these to the blueseum?

Just got it!

Plenty big enough, thanks.

Easiest way for really big files would be to start up an account at one of the free online storage places such as www.mediamax.com and upload the files to that account.

Then you have the ability to share these files with friends. Just let me know where it is, then I can download it and then FTP it onto the Blueseum server.

The Blueseum program has a facility to upload large files, but I doubt that it would be good/robust enough to do a big upload. So this other option would be the easier way to go.

I've really got to get off my arse one day and convert all my LP's to digital. I've got all the stuff to do it, just no time at the moment.

Messrs Webber, McNamara, O'Connor, Opie, Sullivan, Tough, Ross and Jacobson now have player profile pics thanks to Deano.

Eight players from one photo!! Woohoo!

Especially happy with Tough, been wanting to see his pic for quite a while.

... and he does look pretty tough!!
