Danke. Soft tissue injuries really are becoming a problem. Walsh, Cerra, Newman, Saad, Owies, Martin, Motlop, Marchbank, Cuningham, Fisher, S Durdin… Have I missed any?

I really, really hope they aren't on the peps. Soft tissue injuries are a hallmark of peptide use (see what happened to * in their drug year). The recent turnaround in form and our ability to run games out has been................ exceptional.

Go Baggers

No club would be that stupid anymore

Carlton said they upped training over summer and expect such injuries. Just a shame they can't manage players better now our window has opened.

Very frustrating. But we finally look like a side that doesn't let injuries kill them.

Yeah, they stuffed that one up unless it's the other hammy.

Not sure we win that game without Cerra though so you’d probably take it

Come on Paddycripps.
We're all grown ups here.
Andrew Russell is the fitness coach.
Are you blaming him again?

Its a running game, a physical game, a lot of pressure on the body, and you dont expect injuries?
Pies have been lucky.
Blicavs did his hammy on the weekend, and he's a steeple chase talent.

Martin, Gov, Cuningham and Marchbank are playing. We are winning. I'd be thanking the Fitness Coach.

Its a pity he did the injury, but THAT victory is priceless.
The cost 3 weeks, a coupla games, and a bunch of players who will do everything to cover Cerra and Walsh. Doc and Dow...and the selfless support team.

The injury report this week is pretty light on detail.

Some surprise returns coming up perhaps?

i heard walsh came through his saturday run session with flying colours. but still, we'd be mad to risk him with bigger games on our horizon.

I don't mean for this week's game but perhaps a few will come back earlier than planned overall.

...to add to that, I heard good chance he'd be back for Melbourne game.
3 weeks to the day since he felt a light strain in his hammy.
Typically, he may need to be held back.

You may have noticed, in previous years 1-2 weeks may also be interpreted as season.
This year, the games to miss from injury has been on the high end for light strains ie 6-8 has been 4, 3-4 has been 2 games albeit 3 weeks....

Erring on the side of caution more than taking risks.

A typical ploy to exceed expectation, quote high, deliver early, makes people happy.
