Yep, then we'll recruit Cloke, three midfielders in the draft and the job will be done for another year - subtle stuff.

Well to be fair, if we beat St Kilda, we'll have shown massive improvement in just 8 days. Imagine what he could achieve with a HEALTHY list in 12 months.

Just to let you know my wife and I have just been blessed with the news of a second child due in January. If a boy, we are going to call him Kchristopher.

I'm still 50/50 with ratts............ i just don't know which way to go.

HOWEVER...............

This whole thing just feels like when we Sacked Brittan to get Pagan.............. a 'Band Aid' fix - without ever really getting to the problem.

Then, we sacked Pagan to get Ratten, without ever really looking past just 'the coach'.

Now......... it appears we'll do the same with Ratts.

Personally, I don't think Ratt's can coach. But i don't necessarily think he's the sole problem of this club.

so why are you 50/50 about Ratts if you don't think he can coach?

I'm 50/50 because I do feel for him in the fact that injuries have been absolutely shocking this year. Not his fault.

But i'm more saying that i'm 50/50 on ratts being sacked because I refuse to believe he is the sole problem with this club at the moment.

The problem goes well beyond the coach.

I am convinced that Ratten doesnt have the ability to be more than a middle of the road coach rather than a great one.

But I reckon he's not the only one which has caused problems. Something stinks, and its not Rattens socks.

About as much as a scoop as me tweeting that Caro is going to Thailand for plastic surgery.

Pretty sure it's a fake account.

@carowhine wilson is the handle the story is coming from....

Someone then rang KB with it, and the rumour gains legs...

Let's fix the problems one at a time then - starting with Ratts

I think people's opinion of getting MM is a little clouded by how things turned out back in the Brittain/Pagan stuation.
Cant compare the two though.
Pagan inherited an ageing list, bereft of any quality youth coming through, at a debt ridden club with prehistoric facilities. Den Den's people management skills and tactical nouse were also out of touch...
Our playing list while not the best, in hardly in that bad a state, and has enough star quality and youth coming through to be a major player next year with the right coach who has the people management and tactical skills to get the best out of each and every player.

Just to throw in another angle,

If Ratten was to stay on, what effect would that have on the clubs membership for 2013 ?

You would have to think out of the 45,800 current members, how many of them would be angry
and disappointed with our year. (Actually I thought we hit 47,000 members).

And how many would be thinking, "If Ratten stays on, I'm not renewing my membership"

IMO keeping Ratten on, could have a negative reaction to our membership, unless we got to 10-0 in 2013
and then memberships would take off.

Another poor performance under Ratten, could be disastrous for the clubs memberships.

Conversely if we hire Mickey Mouse would members flock to the club?
