I agree that 4 weeks was over the top, thought 2-3 was reasonable. Still, I think the tribunal didn't do a bad job - the AFL were gunning for 425 - 550 points and then the loading on top of that, which is a joke. The tribunal did the right thing in disregarding that. Don't get me wrong, the treatment of Judd vs Rioli, Jackson, Hunt etc is a disgrace, but I don't think 4 weeks is the worst result given the lynch mob.

Time to see how the team does without him, that is important. Time to get some games into a few kids. And then welcome Juddy back for the Bombers game so we can screw up their season and top four chances like they screwed our season. Payback time that game.

With or without Judd, l think we should still beat WB, Richmond and Brisbane. We should probably lose to Sydney the way they are traveling.

Judd has played a lot of quiet games and we have still won. We nearly made the prelim last year with him doing F/ALL.

Its time for Gibbsy to step up, go in the middle and show something. ITs time BRYCE!

It's just a flesh wound!!!!!

Disagree and all fronts.

Not a chicken wing...that's what some want to call it. It wasn't.
Have a look at the real chicken wing the Storm boys were delivering and rugby players got hurt but continued playing.
This Adams weakling plays with a sore shoulder and has it a little pulled...not stretched. It may have half popped.
The blokes whole body just pops every @#$%&! game.

The 2 previous chicken wings were given fines...that's the precedent.
The sling tackles which knocked out players...they got weeks then they went a bit easy.
The Goodes slide which he did 3 times before being cited.....1 week.

Carrazzo Lonegan incident...and Lonegan gets off.
Simpsons jaw broken and out for 6 and the offender gets 3.

Who cares about Judds eye and pressure point incidents....this is a different incident.
Actually unprecedented and if anything reckless because the media say so.

4 weeks...we should attempt to have it reduced.
CFC can't allow this goose to get away with his 'intentional' cry...another hater.
Give the guy a break. Judd gets pulled scragged and hit every quarter of every game, and gets a couple token frees...what 5%.
This isn't a cry of persecution, this is outrage at the inconsistency and vicious targeting of a club.

He's innocent...but I'll wear a week, maybe 2...just for media circus and the haters to get some, but not 4.

Hurricane is innocent. :smoking:

Probably turns our season around and saves Ratten.
Ratten will have to play players in their natural position with all the injuries and suspensions.

Cyril gave Warnock a real chicken wing and play continued with Warnock left on his knees wincing. Unnoticed by the umpires (again) and the MRP (because they are incompetent.
Apparently Cyril is a repeat offender of the chicken wing.....they showed it on 360 last night....but he's Special.

Just posted a link to the tackle in the Cyril thread. A lot more forceful than Judd's arm grab and applying leverage with both hands.

Wow Simon Wilson QC was hovering in the background, just like he hovered 10 years ago. At some stage in your life you have to stop hovering......you need to step up to the plate!

They should bloody well appeal.

The AFL prejudiced the case and prevented any chance of a fair hearing when they came out and made comments last weekend.

Cyril incident clearly hurt warnock - you can see him grabbing his arm and kreuzer took the next tap seconds later with warnock nowhere to be seen

I've avoided the radio & papers the last couple of days, ever since hearing Mark Fine calling for 8 weeks on Sunday, then reading here about all the Johns from Mill Park calling in...seriously don't know how you guys have stomached it.

I did tune in tonight for a bit though, was pleasantly surprised to hear the call for calm from Rohan Connolly. Was excellent, well done Rohan.

Thought he deserved 3. I can cop 4. I'm a bit like JohnM, just very meh about it all...I mean really, our season was over after the Adelaide game several weeks ago. I think some of us have forgotten for a moment that the footy club's got much bigger & deeper problems than this latest saga to face.

Having said all that, there's only 1 really hard game in the four

Good post, i have been a bit like you, trying to avoid radio and tv about it. I also listened to SEN and was also quite surprised with Rohan Connolly. For an Essendon* supporter he was one of the few to make sense in the media and i now have a bit of respect for him that i didnt have before.
I also can cop the 4 weeks, especially when at one stage it looked like 6-7, it was silly and i really think Judd has let down the club in a way.
Only positive from tonight is it is now over and the media can concentrate of something else, like why Rioli didnt get cited for his similar tackle on 'Warnock. Can a player be charged retrospectively?

I have just had a look on BF and its very funny reading posts by North supporters about Zeibell getting 4 weeks. Apparently Joseph is partly at fault for not saying that there was nothing in it and he hopes that Zeibell gets off, just like Adams did. He is probably still concussed.

If we were 5th and gunning for a top 4 spot, I'd probably be apoplectic. But now? Meh.

This

The season's shot, I'm numb to this shit now. The media and ferals got their man, but the irony is that he'll probably finish the season much stronger because of this now (our dipshit decision-makers wouldn't have dreamed of resting him because "we're still a chance for finals *trollface* ").

He did a stupid thing, and (especially given Juddy's poor record....yes people, his record IS poor) I was expecting about 3 weeks. It was a stupid thing to do, he knows it, we know it, but loyalty, blind faith (and in some cases, total delusion) cause us to give him the benefit of the doubt. The club's defence, and method of dealing with this has been poor, and again shows how amateur we are when put under the spotlight, and how far we are behind the filth and scum, who own that shit.

He'll cop his whack, we need to as well. Want to make your point to the media flogs? Stop tuning in.

4 weeks means he is back for the Rd 21 match vs Essendon*......the only match that really matters for the remainder of this season.
