it's getting down to how to avoid an interstate final...

That would be easier if we do get to 4th, which needs either Port or Bris to lose another 3 games.
We would then play the filth in the Qual. Final and book a Preli spot.

If we're stuck on 5th, we'll play the loser of Coll v Port/Bris at their home ground, then Melbourne.
Don't fancy a Semi at the Gabba but we're either on a roll or we're not I guess.

Could we be blessed to have the Filth lose that first final so we get to kick them out in straight sets in a semi?

Now wouldn't that be the perfect "all games at home" run?

I've done a few 'ladder predictors' and in each scenario 2 more wins gets us in the top 8.

I'll be rapt just to get there. 5th, 8th, I'm not that fussy. Just make the 8.
If we're good enough, it wont matter.

6/7 means going through Collingwood in preliminary
5/8 means going through 2nd place, probably interstate

Most scenarios for us seem to have us 5th or 8th

Absolutely... just beat the Saints and take it from there

Lose today and it's back to biting fingernails again...

The Power and Filth wins were unexpected.

Makes today's game arguably one of the most important games in the clubs recent history.

Might sound like an overstatement but just in terms of how much rides on it. Win and we are in a very good spot to make finals.

Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong and Essendon* winning puts the pressure right back on us. Absolute must win today. Lose this and we’ll be up against it to make the 8

Yep, lot of annoying results this weekend, man it was nice winning on Friday and letting others worry about the ladder.

Just win today, move to 5th and let those below us have all the pressure on them to win their last 3 to go past us.

Oh my, I'll take the last scenario

Daicos may miss their first Final, ditto Murphy. Maybe its their turn for a rotten run of luck with injuries; looks the trend.

They've only had Howe all year of any note.

I hate seeing good players out but they've been bloody lucky the pies.

Port at Marvel - they've gotta lose at some point right?

Eagles at Marvel - lol well.

Filth at the G - can't see it happening. Edit - If it bleeds, etc.

Saints at Marvel - they are gettable. they're bog @#$%&! average

Melb at the G - see above, especially if they're having one of their semi-regular stinker games. I don't rate them much

GCS at GC - we usually suck up there, but if they're out of finals contention they might have shut up shop. looking likely they're done

Giants at Marvel - this could be the decider!! yep
Port - tick
Eagles - tick

FILTH - BIG @#$%&! TICK
Saints - tick

Thought we'd stumble this week. I'm now a believer that we'll make it.
