Love the quote - " .....to coach Carlton was ‘a nightmare come true’ "

Can't stand the guy...he hates Carlton with a passion

He and his Dave Sullivan ensemble can flower off for all I care

Let's see how smug he is IF Melbourne disappoint their fans AGAIN...reckon the Cats are a big chance

You have to admire the fact he makes a quid out of being deeply unfunny. Hoping they get destroyed again.

I voted Voss, for the 2nd time. Hopefully he's willing to throw his beanie into the ring. Reckon he would have learned a lot from his time at Brisbane and a lot more at Port.
As we are certainly looking to improve our midfield, having a coach who excelled in that position as a player, could only be a good thing.

No evidence he's still learnt enough to handle a head coach position. We'd only be guessing and gambling. Teague was in the system 10 years, and like Voss a great assistant, great coach of his own VFL team, but the task of the head coach role he found difficult. Voss's winning record was worse than Teague and he had a finals side year 1, not taking over a side that won 4 from 43 previously. Voss has had a crack at jobs since and interviewed poorly.

We just had a coach who was a defender when he played. Guess what.....

We're guessing and gambling with whoever gets the gig. Voss coached blokes who were his team mates, he was one of the boys. Then he's the boss, the boss who knows all the weaknesses and frailties of that group. Then works on bringing them up to speed. It only takes a couple players to think he's turned into a prick to undermine his authority. Daniel Bradshaw may well have taken the lead there.
I don't give a rats arse if Voss gets the job or not. But if you're looking for someone who knows a thing or 3 about what's required to play midfield then I don't see anyone in that list of possibles better qualified than Voss.

Voss blew his interview at the Pies from all accounts and was overlooked for an untried coach. Has to be something in that.

Where does he rate on the "Can you have a beer with him?" scale?

I don't mind him. His humour's pretty self depracating, & he's joked about the shitness of being a Dees fan, many times.

I'm still barracking for the Cats in the prelim though

I enjoy Titus (& Sergio)
I don’t enjoy Geelong (unless they lose)

Big Footy ITK’s still banging on about Clarkson coming too us. Someone said that Carlton contacted hawthorn in the last week trying to negotiate Clarkson pay out for next year and how much we would be paying. Poster sounded legit and would not expand on that further.

Then they are saying that a well connected ex Carlton president said we are getting him as well.

Don’t believe it but there you go.

That's really doesn't mean alot. Still have to be able to coach no matter where you played. Alot of the great coaches scrubby defenders. I'm not willing to gamble on a bloke who has failed previously and stuffed up a few interviews since.

Can the mods put Caracalla on the voting list ?

Caracella could be the new Clarkson.

Every generation throws a hero up the coaching ranks.
