On Bannister's 2004 form you'd say keep him, on 2005 form you'd say Jar him.

I think he's another one in the group of Livingston, Wiggo, Sporn and Davies where you've got to say a prayer and hope that they prove themselves in 2006 but geez, how long do you need?

We have lost Bowyer, Clarke, Norman, Morrel, Johnson and Campo already from the list of 38 and added Saddington leaving us 5 spots to fill in the draft at this stage.

Nobody has been promoted from the rookie list officially, but assuming Carlos is, we still need to delist 1 maybe 2 players to enter the PSD or Round 5 of the National Draft.

If we move Kouta from the primary list to the vets list we can take 4 in the ND and 1 in the PSD with no more delistings. This assumes we promote Setanta, lose Campo, keep Lappin. We can then have a rookie list of 5.

Not sure if we are worried about pick 68 given reports of the thin draft.

In 2005 we had Primary list 38, Rookie list 6.

In 2006 we could have Primary list 38, Vet list 1, Rookie list 5 (or less).

If we want more picks we then need to delist contracted players. I doubt we want to do this.

who's uncontracted - that might be in the crosshairs? Justin Davies? T-Lo?

Pity we can't transpalnt Johnno's brain into Karl's head, because Karl certainly had the talent to be a pretty good AFL footballer. In ten years time he might be looking back with a few regrets.

In ten years he might be looking back trying to remember what he was doing in the 00's.

Pretty sure T-Lo is on 2 years. Not sure about Davies. He'd want to be.

Speaking of contracts, how long has Thorntons got to go, must only be year. A defence like ours could not afford to lose him.

From memory Davies has one year to go on his contract.

Thornton re-signed last year so should have a year to go.

How can this work..

We have 5 delisted/retired players, yet we are likely to want to do the following

pick 1,4, 20, 36, 52

promote Setanta

1st pick in PSD

Thats Minimum 7 players plus any from rookie draft...So which 2 things are we not going to go for PSD pick? pick 52...The only thing is if Campo and Lappin leave thats 7, but Lappin is likely to stay so when the club says there will be no further delistings how is that possible..

Now assume campo and lappin go...thats 7 for 7...given we have pick 1 in Rookie draft arent we better off pickig up a young kid than keepping the likes of wiggins and bannister...we got betts from rookie draft last year

They didn't say there would definitely be no further delistings at all- just none prior to Oct 31. Could be some after then.

Wiggins & Bannister have contracts so we have to pay them regardless.

Blueworld suffered the same fate as I did last night with the site having problems. Each post that we made went into debug. So we didn't know if the post was added. When we checked the thread our post was missing, but was obviously added in the end. I worked this out after two posts. Blue World took a bit longer...

That was funny i posted the same thing like 5 times with that debug clicking back and then forward

The Age has an article today detailing delisting and out of contract players at each club.

The only two players out of contract listed at Carlton are Laps and Campo. Does this mean everyone else is contracted? Which means we'd have to pay out any one else we delist?
