He quit the club...we shouldnt be talking with him at all....no longer a Carlton player who has told everyone he wants to go to Essendon*.
I would be putting effort into Selwood from Brisbane for the PSD and any other worthy possibility...Campo can be put on the past players list as he is now alumni....

I agree, EB. Let's all link arms and wave him off with a big smile :-D We can now turn our attention to using his pot of gold to do to Brisbane what they have done to the rest of us for soooo long :-D Bring on selwood.....or Michael, I don't care.

Lots of benefits to this. He can't nominate an amount to be paid. He wont get the money he wants, may not end up at Essendon* and if he does they draft him rather than a kid. For us all the kids are pushed back a spot so rather than a kid going at 19 he may be available at 20.

I think he can still only nominate for the PSD & set his terms.

Correct, he decides which draft he goes into. Some players will nominate for the Nat draft because they don't like their chances in the PSD eg Micky "300 gamer" Martyn. He was pick 78 or something :? Then there was Mott etc etc :(

Thing about Campo deciding to sit out the nat draft is that if sheedy doesn't want him with his 1 pick - it's all over red rover.

At least in the nat draft he has more options and can go psd if no-one gets him. He'll be having sleepless nights if Essendon* are still un-decided.

No fear boys. I'm off to the bombers. And I'll be able to afford to buy and sell all your loser asses next year. Hell, after I retire I might even buy Optus Oval for my personal playground with my earnings from the next two years.

Carlton has to delist Campo before he can nominate for the draft.
If we dont delist him prior to the ND (Which I dont believe we have to), he cant nominate.

If we elect to do so, He has to wait for the PSD.

It'd be like Chopper.

I'd be the hardened, modern day Robin Hood with no ears from Tasmania

He'd be the filthy prostitute that smells of w** c***.

Now if you'll excuse me, Wiggo's off to fight more crime.

Mate, I don't declare my weekly winnings from Frostbites Thursday's "Shake Your Booty" competition.

If that were the case, Tiger Woods would be cleaning my car for my loose change.

Clubs have to submit list of 35 prior to the ND. If he's not on that list he can nominate. He's not contracted to the club any more either.

Very true but I believe he can still be kept on the list and offloaded prior to the second lodgement..
From memory Trent Knobel couldnt nominate for the ND last year as he was still a listed player.

I'm not suggesting Carlton do this. (Though I wouldnt care if they did) 8)

I think Port did that with Stevens so he couldn't nominate for the ND.
