All Lance needs to do now is hold on for 400k from the club or accept more from Melbourne,

Would Lance have to leave now for 450k.. (25k after tax).... and PROVE himself somewhere else or stay at Carlton and not have to prove anything???

Nice move by the club.....

Must admit, very suprised that we have offered 400K.
I thought 350K was reasonable. Interesting times.

I think 400k is a great offer for Lance because if we dont keep Lance the club might go 'backwards' and the fear is sponsors will drop off... and we cant go doing anything hard like FIND SPONSORS who will work with a plan forwards... and grow with the club....given credits later on when were stronger rather than relying on Lance to steady the ship and keeping them today.

Nup!!!Lance is definitely worth very cent...

Surrey im with you and BM!!!!

Still laughing at Surrey's call that he wouldn't trade Lance unless we get AT LEAST a top five pick

No worries Lance - we'll tak ethe performance clause out of you contract. It would be horrible for you to have to work for your 400K a year. None of that dragging tyres around the vacant lot this year matey.

CARLTON hopes the removal of a performance-based clause from a contract it offered to Lance Whitnall will keep him at Optus Oval.

That is so pissweak and I'm now going to run and hide because Synbad will be here soon.

Lance is a must keep....
There is no reason to have Lance on a performace based contract... its a disgrace that we were even looking to do that to our Lance...
Anyway SIGN LANCE NOW!!!!

Nixon on 3AW in a few minutes

*Going to meet with some Melbourne based clubs tomorrow

*No secret he's taking hefty pay cut after having one of his best seasons

*Not disappointed with CFC

*In hindsight the club could've done things differently

*Unhappy with Fev's signing

*Says CFC will unload one of Fev/Lance

From the sounds of it, it looks like Whitnall will be leaving...Also something mentioned about Ryley Dunn and that he will be used as trade bait...Sounds like we will know by Monday...Freo have done a really dirty deal in signing Dunn and now offering him to other clubs behind his back... ....That's just not right

Rough trot with Dunn.
That should see Fremantle trump Kangaroos in the bid for Hay.

Same old, same old from Ricky.
One interesting comment is that he would prefer Lance to be signed by a club who is able to win a flag in the 3-4 years.
Is Melbourne one of those teams?

I would be interested in getting Dunn...he's had a bad run with injuries, similar to Salopek, he is a Victorian, could be a handy addition to our midfield...

Lance is "looking after his own backyard" apparently.
Is this meant to be different to how he's been previously.

The offered contract (reported 350k) is a big paycut apparently.
How much has he been on to date?
I would have thought his "backyard" has been more than adequately looked after by the Carlton Football Club.

The selfish attitude of these money hungry dogs sickens me.

Unbelieveable.

After reading Synbad's repeated attacks on Lance Whitnall and understanding his obvious hatred of the man, I wonder how people could actually believe a word of the tripe that comes out of his mouth. (or his keyboard).

As a footballer, as clubman and as a ordinary bloke, Whitnall is streets ahead of Fevola in every aspect of life.

The reason Whitnall has so much interest prior to the trade is because those who have an understanding of football and what it takes to be an asset to you club see Whitnall for what he is. An excellent asset both on and off the field who has ever so much more to offer than Fevola.

Why will Carlton keep Fevola? Because he has no currency as a footballer or as a bloke that any other team is interested in. The only way we will trade Fevola is by convincing some other team to take him while we pay MOST of his exhorbitant salary.

So many teams have already laughed at us while Carlton shops Fevola around - don't believe it isn't happening. The answers we have received have all been in the negative. - BIG TIME.

Enough of your harping about Lance Synbad. I hope he stays if only to give you the shits and to make you eat your words.

As for me. I hate Fevola as much as you hate Whitnall. I just don't see the need to repeat it with every post. People get the message without reading it ad nauseum
