Would be a big call to leave out Silvagni since TDK is apparently good to go, given that JSOS played a great game against Hawthorn, but it might be the right call for team balance.

Wonder if Cowan will replace Cincotta after the latter was a bit quiet last weekend...

My preference would be: Cincotta, Kennedy, Cottrell, Young, Silvagni (sub)

Can’t see Ed missing for his brother’s 100th….

Backman, 2 mids, utility. Good bench.

Only trouble you have left Ed out. Could that be?

I'd love to see Moo back in the team but wouldn't it be at... (adjusts tie)... Chinky's expense?

Under normal circumstances I would drop Ed for Cottrell, and TDK for Young/SOS.
SOS played so well last week. He always plays better when his spot is up for grabs, but 200cm Young would be my first choice against 200cm Darcy and Jackson.

Cincotta has similar attributes to Cowan, and Cowan has really stepped up his attacking game in the last 2 weeks in VFL, but Cincotta hasn't done anything to warrant omission imo.

My preference is same as GE's, but I agree with 17th, can't see Ed being dropped altogether for his brother's 100th game. Ed as sub?

Have to wait and see what they decide at 6pm tonight.

Play our best team.

It has to be about winning if we're serious.

Deal with the sentimentals afterwards.

I agree with this, except I would have Cottrell as the sub. He's the perfect sub - versatile, can play in many positions, can impact a game in bursts with his pace and fitness and can also hit the scoreboard.

The only problem is that we all know that E. Curnow will be selected in his brother's 100th game, so either Cowan or Cincotta will miss. Given there will be a reluctance to change a winning formula, I think it will be Cowan that misses. I am OK with that.

If by some miracle they decide to drop Ed, I would bring Hewett into the 22.

To those who are deluded or semi deluded we have beaten poor opposition the last 2 outings
Some posters are getting ahead of themselves as per usual
This is a crunch game
Lose and it’s pretty much finishing before September for both teams
Freo have been terrible except for a patch in the middle of the season

Darcy is a very important player for them
He plays the way a ruckman should play
With physical presence
We will struggle to win the tap outs
The midfield battle will determine the result

And those posters who feel the need to go over my past posts you need to get a hobby
And spot any inference in regards to being simply sarcastic
And ask yourself
What have we accomplished since the rebuild started in 2015 if you can be bothered
I’ll give you the answer
S.F.A
A win in a crunch game which Agro kindly pointed out that we haven’t done yet is a small step in the right direction

And nobody needs to go over the disenchantment of many supporters of this club when you have less than 3 pages of posts after our triumphant win over the Hawks

Maybe that's because you didn't make an appearance on the site until Wednesday afternoon? Funnily enough you're always posting feverishly at the conclusion of a loss. Yet nowhere to be seen for 3 days after a good win.
Sorry. Is that going over your previous posts?

FWIW, I'm tipping Freo but if Carlton have really improved, this is the game that will demonstrate it. We have a good record in Perth and good local support. Cottrell has to come in IMHO. His previous game he had 18 possessions, 8 score involvements and kicked 2 goals playing as a pressure forward. With Charlie, Harry, Cotters, Cuningham, Martin, Fogarty and the rotating mids, we have a good mix of ball winners up front.
I'd drop Ed and play JSOS as second ruck. Young as the sub. Having a tall sub isn't ideal but if Jackson or Amiss get hold of Kemp, we'll need a plan B.

I think we are a better side than in 2015 and we have achieved two Coleman medallists and a Brownlow medalist since 2015. So there are 4 things that have been achieved!

We haven't really achieved much.
Haven't made finals.
While they provide joy for fans and the club, ultimately the Coleman and Brownlow's are personal accolades.
Right now we are a loser club.

We are higher up the ladder.

2015 : 18th
2023 : 14th.

YAY !!!
