Apparently a crowd of around 45,000 is expected for this game.
If this is successful it would be good if North and Carlton get this game each year and turn it into something special.
Years ago I was very ho hum about footy on Good Friday but seeing as it's here to stay, I really hope we make a success of it. It absolutely should be North & Carlton, the two clubs within a Blight or Fev torpedo of the RCH. As it develops they could use that to promote the game somehow, I'm sure.

Taking my kids, can't wait

Pretty rare that we get down to Melbourne for a game. Is there difficulty getting tickets for this one? Looks like standing room only at the moment - is that normal for Docklands?

OK, it's AFL and he's gonna cop hits any week but having him run out against a Clarkson-coached side gives me the heeby-jeebies. You just know that little puke's gonna tell one of his less talented/skillful players to line Walsh up and cop the report.
Yeah I don't trust the little cauliflower one bit.

Neither to I.
Any player with a publicly known injury should be rested for this.
I also think we should put our hardest players on the ground and go for the body and send this mob a message........hello bunnies!

To us I mean. Not too much to ask for.

AFL membership just emailed saying AFL reserved seating has sold out with limited AFL GA available.
Looks like it'll be close to full.

Might be. I guess I'll have the whole bay to myself.

Odds on to lose this game. We aren't playing good footy at all.

We aren’t playing good footy at all?

I would offer we have some improvement in us and I’m looking forward to experiencing that over the next 20 games……I’d be surprised Paddy that you would feel and expect differently.

However, we are 3rd and competition is about relativity. Based on the facts - we are 3rd, the sky hasn’t fallen in yet and we are playing a side that lost last week

Holy shit listen to yourselves.

Would the old ruthless Carlton be adopting this mindset???

I don't understand the fans sometimes. We cry how we're too timid / soft / not intimidating enough and how we need a killer instinct, yet at the same time happy to endorse resting our best player even though he's fit because we're scared of what the opposition may do?

Missing their two best key defenders against the two reigning Coleman medallists. Who else do they have to play key back?
