Now I'm no expert when it comes to beef, but Curnow starting deep would be due to lack of match fitness, yeah?

Or did he not start there last week?

Well, I hate it when our club colours change. Surely there are other ways to get the message across.

Sadly on a day where the club is trying to raise awareness and support for domestic violence against women, that shithouse display would no doubt have added considerable danger to at-risk partners of some members and supporters in some very volatile households during lockdown, particularly if gambling is involved

A cruel irony of our latest failure

Bit of a stretch perhaps (but absolutely un-****ing-acceptable if this does occur), but it certainly gives intolerant ****sticks ammunition to blame “wokeness” for the purely football issue of playing like shit.

It’s not the personal but our setups and ruck work. TDK has fallen into the ‘tap to my feet and rove’ mentality and you can add - minimize jumping. He used to have a great centre bounce jump/tap technique but it seems to be gone. Hate to say it but Krooze needs to be moved on.

I respect your opinion - but I think it's obvious we carry too many pea hearted players in the midfield

9 posts since the game finished Walsh. Damage control?

Piss poor by the players but rubbish from the coaches as well. Similar to the GWS game. We play a spare back and they cut us apart using the spare up the ground. 131 marks and we did nothing to stop it. Dew was under pressure but our lot bailed him out today. We made him look like a master coach by comparison.
Anderson led into the space ahead of the kicker and had a birthday.

Why do we have a spare in the backline?

I might be wrong, but my view is we have panic merchants and fumblers like Plowman and Williamson back there, who are second guessing and not playing on instinct, or to kill the contest, so someone has to mop up.

and Saad was a shadow of the player he's been this year.

The midfield group rarely got back to take on the free wheeling mids.
Eg. Dow at times was getting his breath back whilst his opponent was in space.
I couldn't tell what Kennedy and Cripps were doing defensively, but I know they tried their heart out at the contest.

There wasn't that much cohesion going on in the forwardline Agro.

Harry took some good marks in the backline. Impressive.

Yet the midgets from GCS were able to spot a free player at will to work their way forward.

This 100% attempt of speed and sling shot game when we aren't set up for it is ridiculous.

We were playing 1 against 2 all over the ground. I don't know why but it seemed that way all game. The lone ranger Charlie was 2 against 1. What's the point have the 2 headed dragon if one is in the backline?

I agree

It starts at the ruck.

Pittonet tries hard and is competitive. That's not the answer.
DeKoning is a 2nd string ruckman. He needs another 2-3 years of strength and development.
What the @#$%&! is Kreuzer doing? Was he advising him today? He got smashed by a ruck rover. Out smarted.

Dow> Where the @#$%&! are you?
Kennedy is doing well for us, but he needs wheels.
At one stage we had the cumbersome Cripps and Kennedy both in there.
The take longer than the Queen Mary to turn around. They are not nimble and mobile enough to have 2 of them in there at the same time imo.

When they have played
Cuningham
Setterfield
O’Brien
SPS
Martin
Williams
Dow
Fisher
in the midfield they hav delivered
Kennedy has been better in this area the last 6 weeks
We are talking about top 10 picks guys on big money and long contracts
That’s why we can’t win enough
Walsh gives his all but can’t get it 35 possessions a week
Cripps looks like the burden of carrying the team has taken its toll over the last few years
Miller
Anderson
Rowell
Powell
Fiorini
Ainsworth
Mc Pherson
Swallow
All played their roles
They have depth
And with Ellis going down early makes the midfield effort more damming
Add Greenwood out who is their number two inside bull missing
Holman is their designated tagged
They are a developing team with a good run with injuries will be a top 6 team in the near future

So in terms of the overall context it shows how bad our list management has been.

This is the first time under Teague !!

Hawks game last year , up by 5 goals and they come out and smash us
Pies last year
Crows last year
Pies this year
Port this year
Eagles this year
Gws this year
North this year
Gold Coast today

Teagues legacy is above and includes the following

Obsession to carry Murphy to 300 and betts (not fit Today ) to 350
Honey in the reserves for 2 years ,

The Teague era as I said 2 months ago , is finally over

The next coach , is either successful next year or we are into oblivion !!

And let’s not forget the classic of them of all today

Walsh started the game at HB !!

Agree keogh club needs to get ruthless with the midfield pea hearts.

I have confidence Nick Austin can pick the kids that are not the skinny flashy types but hard workers.

Cons: Too many to list

Pros: Only 2 more games to suffer through in 2021.

Surely today is the final nail in Teague's Coffin.

No, Syd is right, it's definitely the socks. Just like Australia never wins the Pink Test, goddamn virtue signallers. Let's recruit Tex Walker and turn our boys into men!
I don't see the need for it.
Why does anyone have to come out and say that they are against domestic violence and wear orange socks to show it.
I might be looking in the wrong places but I don't think I have ever seen the wife bashers association or the kick the crap out of the kids club.
Isn't everyone against domestic violence.

I think footballers should play football , singers sing songs , actors just act

This playing group needs one focus and that is winning football games and everytime when they have some cause they are trying to promote they lose.

Seriously they have to say their against domestic violence

Kennedy is a good back up/rotation option

But not an accumulator like Tom Mitchell for example.

Cripps and Walsh are stars.

Dow, Fisher, Newnes, LOB.... cut losses and run.

I don't see how advocating respect is political.

I don't think our socks had a lot to do with our loss.

Banners and ads would have more of an affect than changing club colours for a social message.

Leave the navy blue alone. Even if we won would have made no difference how I felt. We are a football club with responsibilities but just leave the club colours alone.

Every time we wear them we lose its about 5 or 6 years now could be more.

You explain it

I predicted this before the game

As a society, we should be advocating respect for everyone.
We should also be condemning all types of violence.

Fair enough.

I'm convinced. It's the socks.

Though we also lose a lot when we wear Navy Blue socks, shorts and jumpers.
