In all fairness, neither players deserve to be on an AFL List. C-Graders at best. How about we give H.Mackay a run?

I'm confused by that one.
The 2 supposed C graders are in very good form but you'd rather play someone who has done far less in recent weeks.
In fact, Jones has far and away been our best performed and most consistent player this season.
What are we basing promotion on if not form?

Jones and Jaksch may well be C graders in your eyes but they're easily outperforming the bloke you want to promote..

Looking at the Bigger Picture-The Future... needs to start pumping Games into H.Mackay

Jones & Jacksh are not part of our Future.....waste of time and space playing either of them!!

Depends, if they play seniors and start doing very well then they will be a part of the future.

Harry worked pretty hard for not much result at Collingwood in what were horribly windy conditions and before that was playing well. Wouldn't have been an undeserving game if he'd played last week but obviously needed a spell.

I've been to or watched every VFL game this year Rexy including practice games and Harry hasn't had a 4 quarter performance in any of them.
Probably the Richmond game was the closest but he's dropped off recently IMHO. I agree with aboynamedsue. A bit of time in the VFL will only improve his consistency.

Just out of interest... why do we call jack SOJ? Son of Jack? Bit odd. Has to be SOS or SOSOS or GOS doesn't it?

Drop White - drop a bloke in the best form of his career at a time our backline is widely lauded as being awesome so far this year.....just to make way for KJ?
Weitering down back - ditch what the MC and Bolts have been trying to do so far this season with Wietering's long term development as a swingman.....just to make room for KJ?
Rowe to second ruck - so take away the great second ruck we already have AND after whipping boy Rowe has cemented his spot in the backline let's move him......just so you can make way for KJ?

And people wonder why people call the KJ thing an obsession......

Ps: KJ is playing good footy and I think he deserves a chance soon.....just not at the expense of our team structure

If what we are observing is White in career best form and dropping him creates a debit situation, we are eons away from success
Even after 3 games, there is daylight between ASOS and White

Wtf is the obsession with kj?

Casbault is a second rate player and we have a potential A grader in the VFL so why not give him a go. Can he do much worse the Levi?

Casboult wasn't great today but has been very good the previous month so stupid to drop him.

The idea KJ is a potential a grader is speculative at the extreme

He's not even b grade

Based on what evidence? 1 game
Go and look at Ratten's first 30-40 games
Simmo's first 10 games, in particular his first 3
I am NOT suggesting that KJ is in that bracket. I'm merely saying that sometimes you have to take a chance on some potential...THEN make an informed decision
Jack Watts is a perfect example

Please add up all the games that other b-c graders like Jones, Thomas, Casboult, White, Rowe, Buckley, Graham, Boekhorst, Sumner, Whiley et al have played under Bolton

Then divide that number by the number of players above. This will give you an average number of games played by b-c graders who most likely will not be at cfc by the end of the year or next year

All I ask is that KJ is afforded the same opportunity...nothing more, nothing less

Apologies for putting some rational thought into my obvious irrational obsession with KJ

I know that this has been said to death, and I'm not a club insider and have no inside knowledge at all....but it is widely reported that he just doesn't give his all. I'd have to say that all the players you listed above have busted their arses despite not having the same raw talent or ability. I imagine this is rated so highly by the match committee, that he is not being selected. It is most likely that they are prepared to let him go at the end of the year if he doesn't realise that he needs to apply himself desperately at every contest without exception. They have continued to say that KJ is aware of what he needs to do to get selected, so the ball is in his court.

I know you will rattle off a list of players that have all got games that probably shouldn't have at times, and I agree with this too. The reality, though, is that we will either:

- put games into a laconic type who will be good at times, but mostly inconsistent
- will delist him and clear the way for an enthusiastic kid who will bust his gut (because that's who we pick now!!!)
- that KJ will do what is being asked and understand it is not negotiable and become the star many thought he would be

This being said, I actually think they will play him this week. Weiters is down, White was down, and they have acknowledged KJ's performance on the CFC website. I suspect if they rest Weiters, then KJ will come in for him. Otherwise, they will drop White, bring in KJ, and swing Weiters down back. If KJ isn't working up fwd, they can swing him back, and Weiters up fwd. Macreadie could even get a look in although we would be too tall down back.

I've appreciated almost everything the club has done since the rebuild, and have developed a surprising trust for Bolts and Co. If they choose not to play KJ this year, and he is delisted, I trust they know what they are doing, and I won't lose a minutes sleep. Most club insiders agree, without elaborating, that he won't play for us. I hope this is not the case, however, and that we see KJ play and show us all that he will be a star.

I am not optimistic about this time. Our kids are starting to look tired and the magnificent 7: Kreuzer, Cripps; Murphy, Gibbs, Docherty, Simpson, Rowe and we will struggle

Good analysis. Good logic. Fair enough. I trust BB & SOS & the inclusion of COS

I too see KJ being selected from the rap on the website.

Who will miss?

White , Thomas, maybe Weiters needs a rest.

The name 'Jo Bailey' ring a bell?

Could be a good game for Boekhurst... Hard to see for who? While talk that Graham is slow is correct, he gets to important spots and had a good game... If there are no injuries, it will be interesting to see if any changes occur

One thing that hasn't really been mentioned is our lack of injuries to key players which has been the hallmark of seasons past.

Boekhurst's field kicking was the best I had seen from him. Set up 3 goals, 50 m bullets. Cunningham played well and is showing bursts from congestion. Jones is also playing really good footy off the backline as well as Pickett yesterday took a step forward

If Liam Jones had been recruited this year as a backman we'd be howling for him to get selected.

I've watched every game and he's been smashing the @#$%&! out of it.

Great comment.
We have all got lost in the fact he hasn't made it as a forward but he has been getting great reviews from Fraser.
Still takes too many chest marks but (according to some).
