Yeah probably.

Just thought you were saying that in the past we can't run it because we have noone ahead of the ball because everyone had flooded back. My argument is that that is exactly when you have to run and carry to move the ball forward. There is usually a couple slightly ahead of the ball that are meant to bolt forward into all that sweet space.

We do look a lot better when we run it rather than dump it though. Clearly they were the instructions this week. Saw players check themselves on a number of occasions. Remain composed and get the quick hands going and hope it opens up .

The player who dubbed Cripps as a 'lingerer' must have rocks in his head and a poor judge of footy.

Correct and all teams do the same. The opposition will press to keep the ball in their forward line and if our forwards don't push back, the opposition will get repeat entries until they score a goal.
The key is having players smart enough to control the ball when you win possession instead of just blasting it straight to the opposition like Nick Graham did in the last quarter.
That will take time after 3 years of mind numbing kick it down the line shit.

Like i said prior to the game,they dont like it in close.And when we crowded'em,they folded.And when we didnt crowd'em,they still folded due to percieved pressure.And a massive tick to Kruezer and Phillips who went to work on Gawn,who i might say,has gone down the infamous media street and is kissing himself goodnight in the mirror.Or at the least drinking his own bathwater.Thought Kruze and Phillips were magnificent.

Interesting now that we have players now with real pace that can kick a long goal on the run with the like of Touhy, Buckley and Armfield to a lesser extent. Nothing more inspiring than seeing a speedster break the lines and kick a long goal from 50. Boekhorst had terrific pace too and looks like he'll be a decent player, just a bit up and down for now in regards to consistency. Reckon if we had got him at pick 40, instead of 19, then we would've said we had down well.

If no one bids Gold Coast can take him using pick 9 instead of pick 4. Personally not sold on Bowes taken that high.

I would have thought Brisbane will bid on Bowes as he is from QLD and there will be no 'go home' factor.
