Judd: My favourite Carlton memories were the elimination-final wins over Essendon* & Richmond. I loved the roar of the Carlton army. #THANK5

It was a mighty roar...

Freaky, 279 games and these two photos were taken 2799 days apart.

Deep horrible sad feeling right now.
Probably the right call - had nothing more to prove - but really hard to take.
Hopefully Oscar will carry the torch for us in only a few years time. :gift:

I'm pretty upset. Knew it was coming but it still hurts!

Yes yes yes. Cripps.
Oh thanks for the memories Juddy. I will not forget hearing the day the greatest player of all came to the CFC.
The many games of doing more than you simply had to right until the end. That second Brownlow Medal. And the greatest number 5 since Gary Ablett Snr.
Enjoy life afterwards champ.

Wow, I'm supposed to be a mature grown man but I shed a tear today watching Juddy at his presser. First tears over footy in a long long time, even though it was clearly what he had to do.

A great person and a great player and role model. Hard to know if we'll see another like him again, able to stamp his name on a game with 2 players hanging off each arm.

Perhaps he'll come back to Whistler!!

Probably should have won another Brownlow in 2011 if not for the perceived umpire backlash from his unexpected win in 2010.. then again maybe everything evened out.

Thanks for giving us all so many thrills and highlights over the journey Juddy. Sorry we couldn't give you the team success you craved at Carlton, but there were some fine moments to treasure :donk:

I know we're all upset about Juddy's retirement, but I think it's important we maintain perspective on what's important here...

I feel so lucky to have seen Judd play for our club. So many memories of him but one of my favourites was his goal in the elimination final against Richmond and his celebration.
I was there on Saturday, glad I saw his last game.
Thanks Juddy.

One of the greatest, made the game a better spectacle than it would have been in this era had he not bolted and shimmied his way into it 13 years ago.

He was far too humble about his contributions this year as well; he was still playing great football.
