Keep Cloke around the 50m arc and have him shank every shot at goal.

Better make that around the 25m arc. He's not bad from 50.

Friday night game.
Everyone watchimg, including potential journeymen who aren't considering Carlton.

Regardless of our position on the ladder we do attract big crowds against Pies Dons and Tigers.
This is a big stage game. The atmosphere will be electric.

We must not only put on a good show, we need to pick our best team to win!
If that means 1,2 , 3,4 changes I don't care.

I don't want to be carrying Jammo. He's playing injured like he did in 2012.
Not worth the risk.

Rowe is badly out of form and should be dropped but with Jammo out safe for now.
Bring in Jaksch.

Judd is an auto selection. I'm guessing one of Dick Carrazzo or Curnow make way.
Don't think Curnow did an amazing job on Jack Stevens and have no idea what Carrazzo role was.
I'm not keen on the latter of those two.

Yarran and Kreuzer can't be considered, same with Warnock.

Will Menzel and Byrne be available? If so bring them Carrazzo and Curnow look like they're in trouble, maybe Boekhurst is sub.

Backline

Buckley Rowe Byrne
Walker Jaksch Tuohy

Midfield

Wood/ Casboult
Judd Cripps Gibbs
Murphy Simpson Docherty

Forward line

Jones or Watson?.....conundrum...maybe one more chance for Jones to heed the advice of Gerard Healy.

Henderson
Bell. Menzel Armfield

Swingman

Everitt

Yarran's suspended, Kruezer's injured ... but why can't Warnock be considered Bondi? I thought he was playing in the 2's ... did something happen? Injured?

Heartless

I reckon that's pretty harsh Bondi. Warnock hasn't worked out the way many of us had hoped, but who really knows what he's had to go through just to get on the park.
I love for him to make a come back - we know his tap work is alright ... if he could just improve his involvement in the game around the ground we might really have a player.

Blair usually has a party against us. It's a shame Byrne is out - I reckon he'd rise to the challenge of shutting him down.

At the start of the year I would have said Blair is too nimble for Byrne but I was impressed by his wheels; plays low to the ground at pace, so might be best suited on smalls despite being 188-190.

Precisely. And will beat him in the air. Very handy type.

Were going to have to improve our outside football... And possessing the ball if we're going to win this one.

!00% correct.
It seems that we are the contested ball and stoppage kings but we just don't spread and we are unable to use the ball once we get it in space.
Something that did change against the saints was that in the previous 3 rounds we always had someone going around the back after we mark it and they get used and then it gets turned over...Against the saints our players played on more and got it going forward and no one was running around the back of the ball winner.
I noticed this in the 2nd half against the saints and we looked to have more space and options going foward.
So Please NO MORE CHEAP possies out the back just keep it going forward or switch the play quickly..

It's Doc Larkins, so take this with a truck load of salt, but Hendo might be in doubt for Friday-

I was a fan. Many were. He's made fools of many fans let alone himself.

You're right I don't know the facts, but he did have a good preseason last year, but he showed NO desire for 2nd and 3rd efforts like someone who wants to change their fortune would.

I looked for endeavour and effort and he showed none week after week since that final against the Tigers 3 years ago. I've given him plenty of time just to show me a sign.

What has he shown you to feel there may be something bringing him down. It ain't his family situation and it ain't his injury or fitness all the time. Something is missing and I bet it's between the ears. I've spoken to sports psychologists over a red or 3 out of interest and there's a lot to be said about the failure between the ears at the elite level.

He has failed himself Imo. Ask him if he's injured every game he's played over the last 3 years or if it's a form issue.

Tell me, anyone, what excuse there may be for his lack of form over the last 3 years, or as SOS would say 66 matches?

The worst part about it is that he's actually quite well-spoken and intelligent. His failure is entirely his own making despite having all the tools to succeed.

..watto's last afl match 16 touches.. ..in fact looking over his 19 game career, he usually manages to get a bit of the ball..

..judd is still a machine on the inside, but I think crisps is more creative, while Judd is more direct.. ..these two should be rotated so they're not going for the same ball and so we've always got one fresh inside beast.. ..if KJ is good to come back I hope he plays forward, we need smart forwards..

..pies are not a good kicking side, but they're working hard and covering the ground well..

Crucial game. We got Brisbane and GWS at home in the following games. Win this and theres a chance we could go 4 in a row.
