No one can say with a straight face that adding Dale Thomas is consistent with a rebuilding philosophy.

In no particular order
Mick says he can't see where we will lose a game
We go after all sorts of top up players like we are the poor cousins of Hawthorn
Judd goes around for an extra year after retiring as he sees something special building
2 games into the season we announce a rebuild
Mick announces we lack talent
We let talent like Jacobs, Betts, Garlett, Waite move on like being able to kick a goal is a trait we no longer desire.

then this week
Mick publicly states he's not playing youth just for the sake of it, he's still about winning games.
HS writes an article about Mick not playing kids.
Nek minnit we are announcing a rebuild.

FFS pick a direction and follow it you muppets!!!!

I'm sure you can add a heap more.

There's more than a touch of the current Liberal Govt in the CFC

Yes. That's the remaining point of continuity through this 5-10 year mess, as the judge described.

They should do the honourable thing and give someone else a chance to do a better job than them (not hard).

If it didn't cost us the compo pick for Betts, then I would argue that getting Thomas doesnt interfere with a rebuild as all it costs is cap space.

It worries me the board have final say on decisions regarding player movements. That's what ML pointed out in his interview with Robbo. Why do they? Why hire SOS? Do other clubs have to get the OK from the board to make player decisions?

Em, all of that is a bridge too far IMO. Watson is still a decent chance and will likely stick around to 2016. Holman is going to go, and Giles is probably going to go and maybe get re-rookied if he gets back on the park successfully.

I'd rather tear up Tutt's contract than Armfield's. The rookies are always a wait-and-see situation, but I think Gowers & Fields have the tools to make it; want to see more of Russell before I make a call. Walsh, Wood and Johnson gone; Byrne and Sheehan elevated.

Armfield might last another year if he can score goals and stop a rebounding defender. That helps us on-field and off-field.

So, in terms of definite delistings, that's:

Seniors list
=====================================
Out: Carrazzo, Ellard, Warnock, Tutt, Dick, Holman, Giles

In: Sheehan, Byrne

Rookie list
=====================================
Out: Wood, Johnson, Walsh

In: Giles

That's 5 ND picks before F/S selections. There'll be more off the list but that's how I'd like it to begin. The performances of Watson, Armfield, Walker, Murphy, Rowe, Kreuzer, Gibbs and Henderson will tell us a lot more about where we can go in the off-season and with the rebuilding plan.

If Waton gets a new contract I'll go ape ****

I'd like to see them actually play the guy up forward for a month. Must a crazy looney idea I know

Haven't you seen enough of this fellow already? Just go down to the Bullants and you might see him up forward.

We may as well hand back our licence to the AFL, its all over, no chance in hell of implementing a three year rebuild.

This club is @$#@

Malthouse works the media so well. He has a press conference and says he isn't playing the kids and forces the hand of the president to announce a rebuild. This now takes a lot of pressure off Malthouse. He can continue losing with no pressure. Collect his 1million pay cheque, get his record and get us the spoon. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets booed at the record game. So we are announcing a rebuild and playing kids from round 3. Club is a joke and should refund memberships.

Fantasy land now, but imagine we come out, beat bombers, pies and saints. Rebuild put on hold? lol

Either MM has to go or the board. This is mickey mouse management.

If its a rebuild then it should be a 3-5 yr window

29+ - keep simpson, - judd/carazzo retire
26-29 - keep white, everitt, gibbs, armfield - trade/dump walker, jamison, thomas, murphy, rowe, warnock, wood, ellard, kreuzer (not all at once but over a couple of years)
18-25 - safe for 1-2 years and assess

Replace the coach with someone young enough to be there for the next 10 years.

The point is that thomas DID cost us the betts compo pick - which, depending on the phase of the moon could have been a first/end of first/second round pick...
