No love for Byrne?
Yeah, put him in.

Play them anyway, try them out. not worried about how ready they are. We're not winning anyway.

How does Byrne get eligible to play? Bring him up for Giles who is on the LTI?

Ok...agree re Knockers. Army is a proven liability even though fast enough. If Walks is ready then play him up forward where he played his best ever season ?

Can't agree with the comment on Army. I think too many are looking at his 2014 which I suspect was ruined by his early physical woes. But look at what he did in 2013 and if he can replicate that he'll have a spot in the 22 every week in my book. Quick, disciplined, versatile and not as bad with his skills as some would have us believe. With our chronic lack of run he is t least one player with some footspeed.

How does Byrne get eligible to play? Bring him up for Giles who is on the LTI?

He was an emergency for the Eagles game, and was elevated just prior to round 1.

The Blues have taken a squad of 25 that includes last week's emergency David Ellard and newly promoted rookie Ciaran Byrne.

Byrne has been elevated from the rookie list in place of Cameron Giles, who is out indefinitely with a foot injury.

Any chance Jaksch will be fit for this game? Will be 16 days since the injury in the Richmond game.

Walker, Army and Buckley straight in on that performance. They are lighting it up, with DVR and Boekhorst not far behind.

Graham had a huge final term, but you'd expect that versus U18s. Whiley faded.

Did you watch the game live jimmae?
If so, great effort delivering data to TC and watching the game.
If not, doesn't matter....other than seeing the players struggling as opposed to interpreting empirical data can be misleading.

Just curious, because I was rapt to see Whiley and Boekhurst with good numbers.

I wasn't there bondi, but Whiley had 13 disposals in the first three quarters. Basically had to wait for the kids to tire before he could stamp himself on the game.

My wording conveys my thoughts poorly, he faded in and out would be a better description. Both he and Graham had 8 disposals in the last quarter.

I assume you have been fasting. I'm not sure if you are serious, but I said the same after the Geelong NAB game.

Always been a Carrazzo fan since his BP debut but I'm thinking it may be time to plan for the future if we aren'tgoing to contend for finals.

Having watched him after 2 rounds he's shown Carrazzo like contested qualities getting hand to ball but once he has his hands on the ball he's a bit off the pace. Maybe he's targeted as a feeder who must be closed down.

The most glaring thing I see is when his quicker opponents take off after only 2 steps he is left in their wake. Hence no contest or pressure of note. They stream forward. Maybe we need to plan to close the escape route.

He got caught with the ball a couple of times but we all know about the issue with his outside pace and I always give the benefit of the doubt to players caught because our introverts are likely to not be his eyes and ears from behind.ie no talk. I've seen it from the fence with Bell.

Which brings me to the point. Do we give inside mids like Whiley a go or some think Graham( I'm not huge rap on Graham as I've seen him in the seniors and he has same issue as Carrots but younger)?

Jimmae suggests he isn't as fit as previous years but he has elite stamina compared to most other players at the club and applies muscle kids couldn't match...so important against a team who has cheated and used supplements to enable them to inflict damage on other human beings: Essendon*!

What is it that you like about Carrots in the 22?

Importantly, as Abbott said last night Χριστός Ανέστη

Not sure Graham is strong or solid enough to play inside mid extractor role.
Comparisons with Brock I think are close to the mark.
If he can run defensively and attackingly all day I'd play him as we currently have players who go missing too often.

Umm... except that match a few years ago against Essendon* where he got dumped into the ground and injured his shoulder in the opening minutes (very similar to the Thomas' injury against Richmond, actually).

We don't have bodies that match Essendon*'s, because a) our players are soft and b) our opponents players were on horse steroids.

We have the option to get them first coz now with Sheedy back there the old 60's and 70's mentality of injuring the opposition will be greater when they combine him and their cheating supplements program.

Sheedy drills dirty play into them.

We have to wear and tear them down to have a chance or our injury toll is going to increase after this next game.

Totally unacceptable.... Someone at the top has to be accountable for it....

Dodo you need to continue you affiliation with the club to continue with the obvious questions.

I know gibbs had a shoulder 'stinger' to the shoulder, and Murphy with a calf but other than that they had a full uninterrupted preseason along with everyone else on the park.

I understand Whiley is underdone because of an Achilles over the summer, and same to Walker with a knee ( but he's a freak).

We have questions which need answers,
MM with the talent and FA diversions are a deflection on Buttifant and co.
WTF is going wrong and where have we gone wrong in the fitness programme...and who is responsible?

Because right now all I'm hearing is we got the wrong bloke from another era to run a fitness programme for the 2015 season.

Good to remind us on Army's injury woes last year Ian.
Leg speed is important for forward pressure betts and Garlett offered.
Army will help
