His around the ground work was slightly better than Warnock. Inside work the same if not worse.

Even result at best. That is being generous.

Meh. Took a mark. Sold.

Really????

Hitouts 49-33 North's way but we won the clearances. Wood had 7 marks, strong marks at that, and kicked a goal. He killed Goldstein around the ground. Wood often used his body very well at the fall of the ball to protect the mids. It was light years better than having Warnock out there.

I'm assuming you're taking the p1ss with your post.

Did you watch the game? Wood took marks, tackled, ran and presented, the things Warnock has not done for weeks.

it was great to see Waites response to spending an extended period in the twos. obviously loves playing for the club and loves playing in front of a few more supporters. he's a talent all right. just needs to get consistency. hopefully a few weeks in the twos and a week back and playing a monster of a game has helped him.

Fingers crossed Menz is ok (becoming a massive favourite of mine) if not, give Jeffy a go. he may find his spark ala waite!

Go Blues.

Meh. Took a mark. Sold.

Warnock averages 0.9 (14 total) marks per game this season... Wood took 7 tonight

Fair play to Warnock, he has been on his own for 17 rounds this season. Wood took a while to work his way into form worthy of selection, and Kreuzer should have been back by now to provide some relief.

Easily the most complete season Warnock has had in his career, but it's a shame his clear intelligence doesn't translate into footy smarts as often as we'd all like.

 The burn-the-witches mob have been quite OTT the last few weeks.

We were the team that had nothing to lose, we picked our mark, we threw the kitchen sink at them and they folded like a pack of cards.

North are a lot like us circa 2010-2013, "flaky", this is just the game we would have lost in those years to a bottom 6 side.

Lots of positives out there. It was great to see the rewards when we play as a team and play with heart.

We now have a ruckman in Cameron Wood. Get used to it folks. He will be a part of our future. At least now we can rely on someone that does his part: taps to advantage, big grabs in the forward and back 50s, linking handballs and tackles.

Warnock should never play for us again.

Goldstein had many more hitouts to advantage, yet we ended up breaking even in clearances.

Wood's 7 marks bettered Warnock's career high of 6.

Goldstein is one of the better tap ruckman in the league, and has been in great form after a slow start to the season. Test for Wood will be to back it up, as he's been inconsistent in the past.

Great to Simpson back to his early season form. Thought his kicking/decision making was excellent tonight. Better game by Tuohy as well despite Thomas getting 4.

Best 4 quarter effort for a long time. Just need another KPP or two as no guarantee Waite will do that next week, let alone next year and 2 or 3 quality users to replace the well documented 'triers' in the side.

Credit to Rowe who not only beat Petrie clearly on the night, but looked more assured than ever when the ball was on the ground. Went at 92% d/e from 13 touches and is playing within his limitations. Jamo on the other hand was poor with ball use a couple of times in that first quarter.

Despite the list still needing a ton of work, it's becoming a lot clearer as to who will and wont be part of the future for next year and beyond.

I tipped this!
Great win by the boys. Good to see Juddy & Waite back in form.
Hopefully the injuries are not serious and Robbo surely must get off for that. Love his aggression.
